Welcome to the Thomashof in the Ruppiner Seenland! Here the chickens cackle, the sheep bleat, the birds chirp and the rest is pure relaxation.
The owners Heike and Jörg Thomas have set up four beautiful holiday apartments on the farm and furnished them with a tasteful mix of antique and modern. Each apartment is consistently equipped with natural materials and individually furnished. The rooms, decorated in calm colors, are extremely cozy - the clay plaster, the open beams, the wooden floor: all of this is not just a visual sensory experience. As a guest, you can feel the love and care that went into the design and you immediately feel at home.
If you want to be active in nature, the Thomashof is the right place for you. The surrounding Ruppiner Seenland offers numerous very beautiful cycling and hiking trails. There is a bike rental service on the farm. The Schorfheide, a forest landscape in the north of Brandenburg, is also easy to reach.
Just three kilometers from the farm, one of Brandenburg's most beautiful water routes begins on the Havel, and in the middle of the village of Klein-Mutz, within walking distance, there is a small bathing lake.
Children are welcome on the farm. They can romp around on the green meadows and enjoy the many four-legged friends.

ArchitectureThe Thomashof is a four-sided farm typical of the region; an old farm, built around 1900, with a main house, two stable buildings and a barn, which has always been privately owned. Heike and Jörg Thomas bought the farm in 2008. They live in the house and have been expanding it ever since. In order to preserve the beautiful, old buildings, the two decided to carefully expand and convert them and open the farm to guests. The Thomases want to create a special place where people can meet, enjoy themselves, relax, but also celebrate or hold meetings. First, a barn was built for celebrations - including a dance floor and stage. In 2015, a stable building was converted into four holiday apartments, a studio and a café. A fifth apartment and a large clay oven have now been added. Their approach is fundamentally as careful as possible; everything that can possibly be preserved is preserved. For example, the original slate tiles from the roof were removed by the owner and then re-installed after the roof truss renovation, the stable windows were preserved and the masonry was extensively repaired. Only local craftsmen were commissioned. Doors, windows and stairs were custom-made. The outdoor area also fits harmoniously into the overall picture. Everything is made of natural materials: pasture fences made of old wood, the paths are made of fieldstone paving, the old-style cottage garden has romantic seating areas under the walnut tree. Nothing was left to chance in the design of the holiday apartments and the studio, right down to the door handle and light switch. Tiles designed by Heike Thomas are integrated into the bathrooms. Each apartment is of high quality and individually designed, with a mix of old and new furniture.
FoodThe Thomashof with its charming farm café regularly invites you to social and culinary events. Here you can enjoy crispy pizza from the clay oven, home-baked cakes and tarts as well as small, lovingly prepared dishes - the ingredients come from the farm's own garden or are supplemented with organic quality. There is also a small farm shop on the farm, which sells home-processed original products from the farm. All dates can be found here: https://thomashof-kleinmutz.de/hofcafe/
Heike Thomas is on the board of the Zehdenick Tourist Association and on the board of pro agro, the association for the promotion of rural areas in the Brandenburg-Berlin region. Two of the employees are former long-term unemployed people who have found new jobs on the farm. In 2024/2025, Heike will sponsor a young woman as a FÖJ participant (Voluntary Ecological Year (FÖJ)). In January 2025, the farm rescued four hens from factory farming. Now they can recover and hopefully enjoy a nice, species-appropriate life on the Thomashof.
EnvironmentHeike and Jörg Thomas have a special respect and appreciation for the craftsmanship that goes into these buildings, which have been in service for over 100 years, and are happy to take responsibility for the preservation of this typical regional farmstead and its surroundings. Energy consumption is low because the entire building and roof were insulated with ecological wood fiber insulation. A lot of recycling was already done during construction, antique building materials were reused and now, of course, as much waste as possible is separated during ongoing operations in order to recycle recyclable materials. At the end of 2024, a solar system was built on the roof of the chicken coop to supply the holiday apartments with green electricity.
Well-BeingSince 2021, the Thomashof has been offering inspiring yoga retreats all year round - an opportunity to relax body and mind in the midst of nature. In addition, the "From Garden to Table" concept invites you to experience the entire cycle of sustainable agriculture up close. Behind the large barn are the permaculture garden and the orchard - a place where the cultivation of fruit and vegetables can be discovered and the principles of ecology and self-sufficiency become tangible. Garden workshops combine agrotourism with practical experience. All dates can be found here: https://thomashof-kleinmutz.de/veranstaltungen/
