At the same time, we provide you with detailed information about the sustainable commitment of the people that manage the place and thus offer you a completely new perspective on your accommodation.
On our platform you can either send a booking request directly or we will forward you to the website of the accommodation.For the booking you pay exactly the same price as in the hotel, completely without hidden additional costs.Because we always have a direct contract with the managers of the accommodation. At the same time you support us with your booking, as we can only maintain the Good Travel offer with successful bookings or referrals from our website.

According to which criteria and standards are Good Travel destinations selected? How does the selection process work?

We are constantly looking for new, sustainable holiday accommodations. At trade fairs, forums, blogs, magazines or from tips of our community, we come across many new destinations, where sustainability has at best already been confirmed by recognised certificates. However, smaller accommodation cannot always afford them. Often, however, they have been working so long and sustainably that they don't waste any thought on certification. We want to find these pearls. If possible, we try to get an on-site impression. In any case, we have an interview with the manager or landlord in which we ask them about all our sustainability criteria.

We have expanded the classic definition of sustainability for Good Travel. For example, under "Architecture" we also want to include holiday homes that have been built sustainably, that blend into the landscape and are built or renovated energy-efficient. Equally important is integration into the region, whether in terms of food, employees or materials. But we also want to show particularly beautiful places. That's why all the accommodations presented are hand-picked. We also rely on the community for this: the guests can contact us at any time and say if something was not as promised.

Booking

How does the booking process work on Good Travel?
From the hotel description you can either go to the website of the accommodation or to the description of the different room types or apartments via "Enquire booking" or "Rooms and prices". On this page you can select your desired room type / the desired apartment, the period and your number of persons and start your booking request. After receipt of your offer from the staff of the accommodation with the binding total price for the stay (given there is availability) you can then make a binding booking or refuse.

I have a Good Travel voucher, how can I redeem it?
You choose an accommodation on Good Travel and after confirming the reservation you send an email to [email protected] indicating the chosen accommodation and the voucher number. The voucher amount will then be deducted from the booking total and charged to us by the hotel.

Can extra beds or family rooms be booked?
This is actually possible in many of our family-friendly accommodations. Normally you will find the information directly on the room selection page of the accommodation. We also ask for the age of your children so that we can take this into account in the room occupancy and the total price.

Can I make special requests for my booking?
You can enter your special requests such as "Please 2 separate beds" or "Please note that we check in late" in the "Questions to hotel" section.

How can I cancel my booking and do I have to pay fees?
You can cancel directly at the hotel or landlord. Cancellation fees may apply depending on a hotel's individual cancellation policy. Good Travel itself does not charge any cancellation fees.

Can I change my booking?
This depends on the accommodation you have booked. Once the booking has been completed, you will receive all contact details of the hotel or landlord and can contact the hotel or landlord directly for any changes. If you have any questions or if you are unclear, our customer service will be happy to help you.

If I book through Good Travel, do I have to pay extra?
No, you do not pay any extra costs, we offer you the same price as for a direct booking of the accommodation.

Payment

When is the stay paid for?
This depends on the accommodation you have chosen. In any case, payment will be made exclusively between you and the owners / managers of the accommodation. Good Travel has nothing to do with the individual payment process.

  • To book a hotel, you will normally need to provide your credit card details and the hotel may charge a deposit and/or any cancellation charges in accordance with its individual booking and cancellation policy. In most cases, however, your credit card will not be charged and you will pay for your stay on site.
  • When renting holiday homes, it is common for landlords to require a deposit at the time of booking. This transaction does not take place on our site, you will only be informed of the conditions and account information of the landlord so that you can make a bank transfer. Upon receipt of payment you will receive the final booking confirmation directly from the landlord of the accommodation.

Is breakfast included in the price?
This depends on the accommodation. We communicate very transparently which services are included in the price and which services can be booked in addition.
