The Pink Pepper Tree

Mallorca, Balearic Islands, Spain

"I love the color pink and cooking and Glynn loves trees", says Jacqueline Rozenhart, good soul of "The Pink Pepper Tree". "The name suits us, is a nice memory of our first hotel and will be well remembered." The cozy feeling that comes with the sound of the hotel name continues as soon as you step into Jacqueline and Glynn Jones' new hotel project.

The finca, whose original walls are several hundred years old and was beautifully renovated in 2015, is idyllically located on the outskirts of the village of Lloseta, at the foot of the Tramuntana mountains in the heart of Mallorca. All rooms of the little gem exude a warm Mediterranean atmosphere - everywhere you look at lots of wood, light, soft colors and rough stone - combined with funny interior details, such as the tree at the bar in the living room, the magnificent chandeliers or a chair with one Cover from old maps.

After the first warm welcome, the hosts continuously provide pleasant, personal care for a thoroughly successful stay. While Glynn has lots of great tips for day trips, restaurants and beaches, Jacqueline is the contact person for everything to do with the hotel and the kitchen.

After a delicious breakfast, you are spoiled for choice: lounging in a hammock under one of the fruit trees, you pull leaning back on a deck chair in the garden with a book or would you rather enjoy the sun by the swimming pool? One thing is certain: there is a quiet place for everyone in the beautiful, spacious facility.

If you want to be pampered, you can choose from the wide range of massage and body treatments. If you want to make your day more active: the nearby mountains invite you to hike - including a spectacular view of the island. The beaches of Palma are only 25 minutes by car from the Pink Pepper Tree.

Sustainable

ArchitectureThe construction of the finca dates back to around 1570. During the 2015 restoration, many of the original building materials were preserved. The old stones can be found in the entrance of the hotel and in the floors. Wherever possible, old beams and wood were recycled into furniture such as cupboards, shelves or decorative elements - which creates the very special style that the operators call "shabby chic".

FoodThe freshly prepared breakfast every morning consists of a delicious fruit salad, Greek yogurt, various cereals, bread rolls and croissants, cheese, tomatoes, cold cuts and freshly prepared eggs. Upon request, the hostess prepares a light lunch three times a week, as well as a constantly changing 3-course surprise menu in the evening. Of course, the dishes can also be adapted for vegetarians or allergy sufferers. Regional, seasonal products are mainly used for the preparation.

EnvironmentEnvironmentally friendly hotel operations are part of the Pink Pepper Tree concept. A pellet stove, which is supported by solar panels, is used for heating. The ceiling of the building was well insulated in order to maintain an optimal indoor climate, the windows are double-glazed - overall, the house has a B +++ in the energy assessment. Ecological means are used for cleaning. The gray water is used for irrigation of the garden and agriculture. The kitchen waste is composted, all other waste is collected separately to enable recycling.

Well-BeingPeaceful vacation and relaxation are high on the priority list of the Pink Pepper Tree. Various body and / or facial treatments can be booked for the full pampering program. Moisturizing body treatments, vitalizing facial peels, Ayurveda head massages, relaxation massages with lemon or orange oil and hot stone massages are offered. The body and facial treatments are offered by two local, professional therapists. They work with essential oils and products from the Mallorcan brand Natur Gaia. The spa treatment can be carried out in the mediation room, in your own room or in the orchards in summer.
