Sustainable

ArchitectureTradition and innovation, Mediterranean lightness and alpine charm characterize the architectural concept of the hotel. In this way, straightforwardness and clarity, which adapt to the direct surroundings, meet regional woods, specifically used black steel elements and large glass fronts. Complemented by a puristic interior characterized by warm colors, this results in an elegant ambience that exudes a lot of space and yet cosiness.

FoodThe kitchen of the La Fucina restaurant stands for fresh and sustainable menus with their very own taste. The local farmers mainly buy, the regional vegetables for the seasonal dishes come from the hotel's historic natural garden. The blacksmith cooks with passion, almost everything is homemade. From organic lemonade, jams or vegan apple bread to pasta made from rye, spelled, buckwheat or durum wheat semolina from our own factory. All menus are free of genetic engineering and additives. Chef Stefano Brida and his team create new courses every evening that promise pleasure without regret and can be prepared vegetarian, gluten-free or lactose-free on request. There is also a large selection of vegan dishes every day. Juices, beers, wines and brandies are also mainly produced regionally. The fine wines, including numerous organic wines, come partly from the adjacent monastery cellar in Lana. There is also a well-assorted range of international wines and spirits.

The dissertors live for their region. Not only do they prefer to hire local employees, they also source their products mainly from local cultivation. In addition, according to their philosophy of life, the hoteliers have set themselves the goal of promoting the fine arts in the area - for example with the support of the music festival "Lana meets Jazz". Local, contemporary artists have the opportunity to present their works of art in the hotel and composers who perform and guest in Lana and the surrounding area can stay at the blacksmith at a discount.

EnvironmentThe Hotel Schwarzschmied places great value on sustainability and environmental protection. The hotel staff is trained accordingly. The house is certified with the EU Ecolabel. There is also a charging station for electric cars.
