Here the Tarzan's cry does not sound like usual, but rather quite like "Kikeriki". Because on the stand-alone farm somewhere in the country behind Lake Constance, the Tockan farm gong wakes up all residents and guests in the morning with its lively crows. And that's a good thing, because here at the Schöngeister holiday farm there is so much to experience that the day cannot have enough hours.

It is an ideal vacation spot, especially for families. The courtyard is at the end of a cul-de-sac and therefore children can move freely in the large garden and in the courtyard. In the garden there is a children's circus wagon full of cladding stuff where you can also "spend the night in adventure", and all kinds of children's vehicles are available. If the weather is not so good, there is a trampoline, a foosball table and a table tennis table in the play barn.

But you can simply do less here. Relax in the quiet nature between old fruit trees and fragrant herb sticks. The two apartments "Alte Brennerei" and "Alte Werkstatt" are deliberately without a television and only equipped with a small radio as the only "hi-fi system". The internet is there, but it is so slow that it is unusual to slow down rather than to surf. There are cozy reading corners and cozy holes-in-the-air-corners.

And there is a lot to experience in the near and far surroundings. The house specialty is the notorious stick bread, which can be baked at the campfire in the shared garden. Otherwise, the Schöngeisterhäuschen are equipped with fully equipped self-catering kitchens. Fresh organic herbs are available seasonally around the house and garden. There are fragrant stone pine beds for sleeping and the good indoor climate of the non-smoking houses contributes to a special feeling of well-being through its controlled, always fresh and pollen-filtered indoor air.

The Ilgs wanted to create a place on their farm that they always wanted for their vacation trips, but never found. Since summer 2015, Karin, who grew up on the farm, and her husband Alexander, who, as an architect and carpenter, bring the necessary know-how to guests in the two Schöngeister holiday homes. A third barrier-free house is in the works. And saunas, summer kitchens and alternative living options are already ghosting as beautiful ideas.
