The small town of Zafferana Etnea is just two kilometers away, where you can stroll nicely. Monaci delle Terre Nere is a 20-minute drive from the beach and the city of Acireale. Taormina, which is always worth a visit, is 35 km away.

The interiors have been gently renovated with natural materials from the region, partly exposing the impressive lava stone walls. Many rooms work with natural light that shines in through floor-to-ceiling windows and patio doors. Many wooden elements, including exposed ceiling beams, give the interior a natural look.

Location + Directions
By boat
Several shipping and ferry services head for the port in Palermo from the Italian mainland (e.g. Genoa or Livorno). From there you drive another 3 hours to the Monaci. There is also a boat connection from Naples to Catania.
By plane
The airport in Catania is only about 30 minutes by car from the Monaci delle Terre (37 km). If you want to explore the island, a rental car is recommended, but there is also a shuttle service from the hotel. You will receive the exact address when booking.
