The beautiful half-timbered house in the Bergisches Land was once a restaurant and is over 150 years old. Annette and Uwe Hugendick have lovingly renovated it and have retained much of the original charm of the house. Through a heavy oak door you enter the small and fine guest house and immediately feel at home.
The five spacious rooms and the apartment have high ceilings, comfortable double beds, large windows and modern bathrooms. Tasteful wall colors in dusky pink, powder blue, olive green create a calming atmosphere. The high-quality wooden furniture - preferably made of oak - and the parquet made of ash round off the Scandinavian style tastefully.
The excellent breakfast with fresh fruit, a large selection of cheeses, eggs, muesli and delicious jams is eaten together with the other guests at the long kitchen table. The guests often get into conversation with each other and exchange ideas about their upcoming excursion plans in this exciting region between natural idyll and industrial culture.
When the weather is nice, you can also sit outside under the walnut tree in the garden. In a small library there is the right reading and the delicious coffee comes from a local coffee roaster. A place to unwind and slow down. The cordial hosts are always at your side with advice and action - small but nice.

The house was renovated carefully and with healthy building materials. A natural lime plaster ensures a pleasant and healthy room climate on all interior walls. The surfaces are protected with organic oil and waxes. The windows are made of wood and have been built according to historical models, supplemented by modern soundproof glass. The innovative wood fiber insulation is award-winning. It is heated with regional raw materials - pellets from local forests.
A rich breakfast selection - coffee from a Schwelm roastery and freshly baked bread. Guests are welcome to take some provisions for the day with them as a packed lunch.
Of course, everything is taken care of here; regional products at the community breakfast, organic cleaning agents and waste separation. As well as pellet heating, wood fiber insulation and rainwater infiltration. The garden is a small biotope for animals with trees and a pond.
