ArchitectureThe house was built according to building biology and ecological guidelines. The new building should be reminiscent of a cave of the Goggwäärgjini (legendary figure, natives of Goms), which is why the outer shell and the walls in the interior are crooked and everything is made to measure. The mother house was built according to typical, authentic Gommer architecture with Valais larch wood. With a few exceptions, we worked with regional providers.

FoodThe hotel offers seasonal and regional food. For the most part, the cooking here is based on the Slow Food principle, which means that the whole animal is always used. Of course, vegetarian or allergy-friendly dishes are also available to guests. Many products are organic, finished products are not served. The food waste is converted into energy (biogas) and fresh waste is converted into compost. The guests especially love the homemade apple or rye bread with the long-standing Gommer rye culture. The "Cholerie", a regional vegetarian specialty, is also well received.

SocialFor the most part, employees from the surrounding area work in the hotel. They can use the wellness offers free of charge and receive ongoing training. The Hotel Glocke also supports an aid project in Zambia through “Water for Water”.

EnvironmentA lot is done for the environment in the Hotel Glocke. There are biogas and compost stations, a recycling station, natural cleaning products, a wood pellet heating system, ecological building materials, water-saving shower heads and natural and refillable shower products in the rooms. Waste separation is also a matter of course. The hosts also use various sustainable apps such as TooGoodToGo (food rescue) or Simon & Josef (resource-saving in room cleaning).

Well-BeingThere are several saunas (Cocoon, Bio, Finnish), massages, a whirlpool, and Qi Gong, yoga, dance, or Feldenkrais classes.
