Hotel

Hörger

Kranzberg, Bavaria, Germany

The Biohotel Hörger is located in the middle of the picturesque hilly landscape of the Amper Valley. Here, away from the hustle and bustle and away from the city and traffic, you can slow down and relax. Fragrant flowers and fascinating plants and numerous apple trees grow in the nature and adventure garden around the organic hotel. Here you can experience rural and nature-loving life with all your senses.

Since 2006, the traditional taverna has also been a hotel that offers cozy Bavarian cuisine as well as cozy rooms. The rooms are puristic and modern, and furnished with furniture made from local woods, which spread a wonderful fragrance and radiate a warm, comfortable atmosphere. The honest hospitality of the Hörger family and their team also contributes to this. It sleeps very well on the mattresses. The curtains, which completely darken the room and ensure that the room is shielded from electrosmog, also ensure a good night's sleep. Cell phones do not work in the rooms and internet is only available via cable.

You can have a leisurely breakfast on the wonderfully spacious terrace. In the afternoons and evenings, trees provide shade in the beer garden. Here it is easy to endure with a cyclist or an apple spritzer, even on hot days. Gourmets get their money's worth with classics such as Wiener Schnitzel or plate meat, and vegetarians are also catered for. All ingredients are certified organic and come from the region. And: the chef still cooks himself.

The hotel is well located for cycling or hiking trips to the extraordinarily beautiful river landscape of the Amper, the Dachau hinterland or to the Scheyern monastery, the headquarters of the Wittelsbach dynasty. Anglers can spend their day in one of the several nearby fishing waters. Children love the Kranzberger See. Due to its proximity to Munich, the bio hotel is also suitable for stays as part of city trips or for conferences.

Sustainable

ArchitectureThe modern and puristic architecture of the organic hotel has already received many awards. The hotel rooms are completely made of wood and glass. Here you live with the scent of stone pine and look out of the window into an enchanted apple orchard. Only pure natural materials were used in the construction, the furniture and the equipment.

FoodIn the economy of the organic hotel, fantastic, down-to-earth Bavarian cuisine with a touch of sophistication is served. Hörgers do not process semi-finished or finished products. 90 percent of the processing products are organic products, 10 percent come from wild catch or game collection and hunting. The organic hotel is a member of SlowFood, has its own vegetable cultivation, shop wherever possible from local farmers and runs its own butcher shop. In addition to delicious meat dishes, there are also spinach dumplings, baked vegetables and various pasta dishes for vegetarians. If necessary, vegan dishes can also be offered.

EnvironmentThe Biohotel Hörger is an energetically optimized low-energy house that uses waste heat from a cogeneration system and heat recovery, uses green electricity and operates a photovoltaic system. In addition, the hotel runs its own near-natural garden center and its own butcher shop. Purchases are made regionally. The company takes care to produce as little waste as possible and to separate it.
