At Hasseldorf 10, the view sweeps over fields and orchards. At sunrise, you can observe animals and enjoy the simplicity of life and the beauty of nature.
After many years in the big city, Sandra and Lars found exactly what they were looking for in the Mecklenburg Lake District: authenticity, peace, and nature. The choice of this property was based on the desire to utilize existing resources—such as the old farmstead—rather than building from scratch.
Since early summer 2025, guests have been welcomed here with a special warmth. The two yurts, each accommodating two people, exude a beautiful atmosphere—they are stylish, minimalist, and incredibly cozy. The large glass dome and floor-to-ceiling windows create the feeling of being immersed in nature. Everything was built exclusively from natural materials, and all wooden elements were handcrafted in a small workshop. The yurts feature fully equipped kitchens, comfortable living and sleeping areas, and their own stylish bathhouse with a massage shower.
The deliberately "wild" property invites you to linger and simultaneously provides a natural habitat for local wildlife. The farm shop offers regional and organic products such as honey, cheese, and eggs, leaving nothing to be desired. The greenhouse offers lettuce, radishes, and kohlrabi for you to pick yourself. And in the evening, with only the wind rustling in the trees and the starry sky glittering, everything is simply good here.

During the construction of the yurts, as little interference with nature as possible was achieved – concrete foundations were also avoided to avoid sealing any surfaces. Instead, there are point foundations made of field stones from the property, as this meant the smallest possible disruption. These point foundations allow animals such as hedgehogs, small lizards, and insects to continue living beneath the yurt. The yurt itself is completely insulated with sheep's wool on the walls and hemp in the floor. All wooden elements such as glazing bars, windows, and floorboards were handcrafted in a small workshop.
In addition to the small farm shop with regional products, there are fresh eggs daily and a greenhouse with vegetables for free use. The cheese comes from a small dairy in the neighboring village. The cows first nurture their calves before the milk is used for cheese. They graze on pasture almost year-round. Homemade apple juice, jams, honey, kombucha, and wine are available. The game served is sourced exclusively from regional stand-hunting.
There is a dry, separate toilet and a rainwater storage tank. The well is used for irrigation, and waste is naturally separated. Monthly donations are made to conservation projects and organizations such as Greenpeace and ARIWA. Nature conservation and the preservation of habitats for animals and insects are very important to the hosts, and they demonstrate this to their guests on-site.
