Free space, light and lots of nature, that is the happiness formula of the Ostseelodges. On a huge area with a size of 50,000 square meters there are 26 modern apartments, where you immediately feel comfortable. Natural beach included.
The lodges nestle perfectly into their surroundings. During construction, attention was paid to an interaction with the topography, with its woody meadows, the coastal landscape and the many deciduous trees. The pavilions seem to float on supports and convey the image of boats just before they are launched. This maritime flair is complemented by wooden walkways that you use to enter the lodges. The interiors are characterized by Nordic restraint and simple elegance. Open, spacious common rooms alternate with cozy retreats.
Large panoramic windows and the spacious terraces open up a wonderful view of the Flensburg Fjord, swaying tree tops and a beautifully designed park. In the mornings you can watch rabbits hopping across the grounds and squirrels whizzing up the trees. As a guest, you experience peace, seclusion, privacy and the calming effect of the picturesque trees from the very first moment. The rustling of leaves accentuates the entire holiday with the magical sound of the forest. The view from the lodges directly on the cliffs is also breathtaking - there is no more coastal flair.
Numerous seating options on the premises invite you to enjoy the beautiful ambience, surrounded by grasses, reeds, lilac and lavender. Younger guests can look forward to a playground with a pirate ship, a three-turn bar, a balance game to romp around and two mud pools to build castles. The piled-up sea sand is great for young and old: just put your feet in the sand and enjoy the holiday feeling.
The coastal path passes right in front of the site - ideal for long walks along the Flensburg Fjord. It leads to the Holnis peninsula. Parts of the peninsula are designated as a nature reserve, there is an important breeding colony for seabirds. The city of Glücksburg, just 15 minutes away, offers all kinds of tourist activities and water sports. In addition, artefact's power park will show you how renewable energy is generated and converted.

ArchitectureThe construction is inspired by the "flowing space": the interrelation between nature and interior is in the foreground. In addition, attention was paid to the old trees during construction, to protect the roots, the houses stand on stilts and - thanks to the dark wooden cladding - blend harmoniously into the environment. Only trades from the region were involved in the construction. The interior is simple and elegant and inspired by the Scandinavian style. Rather minimalistic, but of high quality. The Koeppen couple chose and arranged the facility themselves. Thanks to panoramic windows and large terraces, the lodges are all very bright and flooded with light. The outside world and the interior enter into an exciting symbiosis, which means that nature plays a major role during your stay.
EnvironmentEnvironmental protection is very important to the operator. The Ostseelodges receive green electricity, have a hot water tank, an air source heat pump and continuous underfloor heating. Operator Christoph Koeppen is the managing director of the Hamburg-based solar company Enerparc and, at the same time as the Ostseelodges, set up a 16,000 square meter solar park in Glücksburg. 5,544 solar modules produce 1,389 MWh per year - this corresponds to around 7 times the electricity requirements of the Baltic Sea Lodges (and the needs of 350 households). In addition to energy generation, other resources are handled with care. Waste is of course separated and recycled!
Well-BeingSome of the lodges have their own sauna. There are also seasonal offers, such as Ayurvedic treatments and Ayurvedic nutritional and health advice.
