Nestled in gentle olive groves and just minutes from the sea lies La Caramella, a light-flooded, two-story villa with sweeping views across the Apulian landscape to the water.
Surrounded by a lush garden, this is a place that combines tranquility, ease, and a Mediterranean lifestyle. A truly unique feature is the accommodation's numerous terraces. Depending on the position of the sun and the wind direction, you can always find the perfect spot – sometimes shady and cool, sometimes sunny with expansive views. A favorite spot is the swings overlooking the sea, where everyday life can easily drift away, while a cool drink in hand makes the moment perfect.
The house was completely renovated in just a few months in 2025 with meticulous attention to detail, transforming it into a stylish retreat. Light, natural tones such as white, cream, caramel, and taupe reflect the colors of the surrounding beaches. Warm wood, rattan, handcrafted artwork, and atmospheric lighting create a tranquil and harmonious ambiance. Each room is individually designed, and each terrace tells its own story – from rustic wooden tables to the outdoor kitchen or the elegant martini terrace by the pool.
Hosts Sabine and Hubert from Lübeck have created a place with La Caramella that consciously stands out from the mainstream. It's a house for arriving, breathing deeply, and enjoying yourself. Anyone who arrives here quickly realizes: a week is hardly enough to discover all its favorite spots.

During the renovation, many things were rethought: walls were opened up, windows enlarged, and bathrooms redesigned. Existing materials were given a second life. Tuff stone was reused for terraces, and windows and sanitary ware were passed on. The interior also has a rich history. Lamps and decorative elements made of driftwood come from the owner's favorite beach, antique wardrobes from the local market, and carefully selected finds from the previous tenants. The entire project was carried out by local craftspeople using regional materials – from the Pietra stone floor and dry stone walls to the windows and steelwork, all sourced from the immediate vicinity. Only one element comes from further afield: a French Focus fireplace, which provides a particularly cozy warmth during the cooler months.
The company exclusively employs staff from the region, with whom they maintain a friendly and respectful relationship, including regular team evenings. Animal welfare is also close to the hosts' hearts: inspired by a stray dog from Ostuni, they support several local animal welfare organizations.
Out of consideration for resources, a lawn was deliberately omitted, as every liter of water comes from the property's own well. Instead, the house relies on modern, energy-efficient technology: air conditioning units, a water heater with an integrated heat pump, and electric underfloor heating can all be controlled via an app, optimizing consumption. Guests are also encouraged to use water and electricity consciously and sustainably.
For relaxation, there's a stunning infinity pool, recently renovated and now gleaming with a modern saltwater electrolysis system, high-quality 3D foil, and a stylish, non-slip terrace made of local Trani stone. There's also a cold plunge pool shower and a warm outdoor shower with sea views, perfect for unwinding even in February. Upon request, the team can arrange for an experienced masseuse to come directly to your accommodation. Just five kilometers from the sea, you can enjoy all kinds of water sports or take a morning stroll with your dog. The surrounding area is also ideal for cycling on quiet country roads, and if you wish, we can put you in touch with a friend who delivers e-bikes directly to and from your holiday home.
