In the middle of an idyllic, moon-like volcanic landscape is this little paradise, which is surrounded by Canarian palm trees, pepper and jacaranda trees. In between are seven lovingly furnished suites and two yurts.
The original finca, on the slope of a hill in Uga, dates from the 18th century and was bought in 2005 by Raquel and her mother. Here you are not only welcomed with the twittering of birds, there are also fresh bouquets of flowers from the in-house garden on the tables of the apartments. Raquel comes from a family of artists and loves to design places. That is why she has restored the house imaginatively, in the traditional Canarian style. On Raquel's travels through India, Bali and Indonesia, she not only collected antique furnishings and favorite pieces, she also brought something from the Far Eastern mood, her smells and customs to the Casa El Morro.
There is a spiritual, meditative mood in the air: Yoga classes take place every Monday and Friday, and more often if necessary. There is also a large program of well-being offers. A massage yurt and a yoga palace, led by Raquel, round off the special atmosphere. Here, solo travelers, couples, families as well as groups can relax away from the hustle and bustle.
Those who enjoy homemade goat milk yogurt, warm croissants, freshly collected eggs or other delicacies from the buffet with breakfast in the morning rays of the sun are also greeted by the free-range chickens.
Afterwards, guests can make themselves comfortable at the solar-heated pool, in hammocks or on colorful Balinese loft beds and enjoy the play of light and colors of Lanzarote.

ArchitectureThe former farm has been restored in traditional Canarian style using original materials for 17 years. All materials used are non-toxic and ecological: natural oils to maintain the wood of the ceilings and doors, and limestone to wash the thick stone walls of the building. The walls were painted with mineral lime paints. If signs of use appear, they are simply painted over with lovingly painted ornaments. The majority of the furniture comes from countries such as Bali, the Madura Islands, India, Morocco and mixes with Andalusian antiques that have been fully restored. Furniture from Asia was bought with the assurance that it was made from sustainable or recycled wood. Raquel's search for furniture took years and her favorite pieces were made from recycled old parts of the ship that were lovingly transformed into beds, tables and benches.
FoodBreakfast is served on the sheltered breakfast terrace with seasonal fruits, products from the garden, various homemade jams, cakes and healthy bread. And of course the fresh eggs from our own chickens. Everything that is bought comes from local suppliers - the only exception: cow's milk, since there are no cows in Lanzarote, only goats.
EnvironmentThe outdoor lighting, the warm water and sometimes also the electricity required are produced by our own solar panels. The pool's heat pump is also powered by the solar panels. The lush garden consists of palm trees, hibiscus, bananas and fig trees, agaves, aromatic herbs and a number of cacti, all original plants from Lanzarote and the other Canary Islands. They are cultivated according to traditional methods of cultivation in the Canary Islands: volcanic ash serves as the basis for maintaining the moisture in the soil. The care of the plants, the fruit and the vegetable garden is completely organic, i.e. strictly organic. Attention is also paid to waste separation.
Well-BeingIf you want to do something good for your mind and body, you will find a multifaceted relaxation program in an extraordinary atmosphere. There is a specially designed yurt for the massages and the Kundalini yoga classes are held in a round yoga temple. The following applications can be booked separately: Sound therapy: The sacred sound of singing bowls creates a harmonization on a cellular level in our body, which causes a state of deep relaxation and increased awareness. Sound therapy is the practiced and conscious use of the energy of the sounds. Massages and therapies: Selected specialists and therapists from the island offer different methods in Casa El Morro. For example: Ayurvedic massage, the detoxification “Pinda Sweda”, a therapeutic application of heat in connection with sweating, “Udvartana”, an activating, cleansing peeling and “Marma Abhyanga”, a massage that corresponds to a complete session of Chinese acupuncture. The Indian head treatment “Champi” helps to eliminate migraines, insomnia and inability to concentrate. "Ubatán" is an Ayurvedic treatment for the face. Yoga: Kundalini Yoga, also called Yoga of Consciousness, consists of simple yoga exercises that are easy to implement even for beginners. Some of the positive effects are immediately noticeable. Yoga classes can be booked individually or practiced in small groups. Classes take place every Monday and Friday, and more often if required.
