In the heart of Provence, the Sorguette open-air hotel offers a different kind of camping experience. For 30 years the Hediard family has been welcoming their guests with warmth in a welcoming and convivial atmosphere. In addition to the possibility of classic camping, there are also colorful yurts, tree houses and tent accommodations on the beautiful green grounds - there is something for every taste.
Worries? Are quickly forgotten here when you have moved into your new domicile. Through the “eye” of the original Mongolian yurts, guests can watch the sky and the stars, couples in love can cuddle undisturbed in the ecological mini-lodges, the safari tent promises pure adventure and even has its own kitchen and tree houses especially a great view over the neighboring river.
The Sorgue flows right past the site. Its beauty and that of the surrounding nature have already been described by numerous famous French poets. The river is ideal for long walks past lavender, sunflower or poppy fields, is suitable for canoeing and kayaking, offers refreshing cooling and lots of bathing fun and is a paradise for anglers.
There is a shuttle service twice a week that takes guests to the local market. In the shared kitchen, guests can prepare their treats and talk to other visitors at the large table for everyone. There is also plenty of space for quiet moments, for example when taking a break in the hammock in the shade of the plane trees. There is a small snack bar on the square. She uses fresh products and the kitchen is homemade. There is a garden area reserved for children's games, a table tennis table, a fitness area and a place for barbecues.
There are three lakes within a radius of 25 kilometers. In the area there are many small beautiful villages, also famous French cities like Avignon or sights like Le Pont du Gard are within easy reach.

ArchitectureThe overall impression on the square is colorful and diverse, since the many different accommodations all have their own style. A lot of wood and natural colors were used in all accommodations, the furniture is more practical than exaggeratedly stylish. The tree houses are made entirely of French wood and are small and cozy. The yurts were imported from Mongolia. The decoration is very traditional and colorful, the atmosphere large and flooded with light (provided the roof is open). The tents are cozy and in the interior you can imagine sitting in the African savannah. The eco-lodges are large, comfortable and smell of wood. Ecological and regional materials such as wood from the surrounding area and sheep's wool for insulation were used for the construction.
FoodOn the snack bar menu, guests will find a weekly burger and croque. The operator uses seasonal and predominantly local products, some come directly from the campsite's organic garden. Vegetarian option on request. The chef's recommendation is the "Burger Classic" with cheddar cheese, red onions and a spicy, homemade sauce.
The operators support the Avignon Opera, the French league for the protection of birds, and local efforts to improve the attractiveness of the area.
EnvironmentGuests are asked to treat the environment and nature as respectfully as possible. This is how the operators of the campsite feel. The Hédiard family believes that people should work with nature and not against it. That is why, for example, they decided not to cut branches that grow over the roofs of the tree houses, but to use them as additional decoration and support.
Well-BeingYoga classes on the river are offered. A healthy meal (Buddha bowls) is included. There are Ayurvedic massages.
