Do you know that: when you see a doll's house or a playhouse that you somehow want to live in yourself? Perhaps because of the longing for idyll and security that everyone knows.
Slipping into such a small, closed world that is far from your own hectic and perhaps conflict-laden reality. In a doll's house with lots of nostalgic decorative elements, delicately painted rustic furniture and checkered beds. With rose-decorated curtains and porcelain. And outside a little garden that only belongs to you. With a bench under trees and roses by the house, with wrought iron and goats and donkeys around it.
So we know that. And certainly Karin Harr too, because she has set up a little house in the former bakery on her farm. And you can rent it now. However, at most in pairs. More beds just don't fit in. There is no TV here. There would be no time for that, because in life, as in the old days, wood needs to be chopped and heated for warm water or for the sauna, which is a little cart in the garden and from which you can look directly at the green meadow to the goats.

ArchitectureThe Backhäusl was largely built and renovated with historical building materials and old materials that were recycled, such as traditional plain tiles for roofing, some of which are even more than 200 years old. Almost all of the furnishings in the house are also recycled and are made up of nothing but original furniture from the last century. A mix of heirlooms and flea market finds. Wherever new materials such as paint or plaster were used, they are in organic quality or building materials from the region such as wood and stones.
FoodIn the morning there is a lavishly filled breakfast basket delivered to the bakery. With farmhouse bread, Black Forest ham, cheese from the region and eggs from our own chickens. The guests can make their own butter and then enjoy it. Various liquid apple products are available from the farm&
Encouraged by the rural women education organization and with the support of innovative measures for women in rural areas, Karin Harr implemented her project "Backhaus Grüntal - fairytale country experience" in 2016 and has been welcoming guests here since 2017. Just as her project was supported, she and her family also support various social works in Germany, Africa, Brazil and India and they also have two sponsored children in Brazil and India.
EnvironmentThe environment and sustainability are close to the heart of Harrs. The entire bakery is largely a recycling product. Separation of waste is practically unnecessary as waste is simply avoided, as is the custom at Harrs. The visitors to the bakery are motivated to shop regionally, seasonally and organically in reusable packaging in the vicinity as possible. And domestic wood is used for heating.
Well-BeingHolidays in the Backhaus Grüntal are from the first moment a single balm for mind and soul, because being here is like immersing yourself in another world, in which everything is reduced to the essentials and therefore free of ballast. And for physical purification, go to the sauna, which looks a bit like the witch stove from Hansel and Gretel, which you first have to heat yourself up before you can even cook yourself in it. The panorama window of the sauna cart is only transparent from the inside. So don&
