At the Agriturismo Fortuna Verde, guests can enjoy a wide view over the gentle, green hilly landscape of the Marche. The colorful patchwork of vineyards and olive trees gives an authentic sense of eastern Italy. The rural setting is home to small farms, cantinas and narrow, winding streets.
The Fortuna Verde is located at the end of a small country road, away from traffic and noise. The host family bought the old farmhouse in 2012 and renovated it over the years. Renovation work took place inside the house but also throughout the grounds — the new olive grove and vineyard were planted by hand. As much reused material as possible was used and at the same time attention was paid to beautiful details. The bright decor consists of furniture sourced from local antique markets.
The desire of the hosts was to create a living accommodation. A farm that allows rest and relaxation for people and the environment at the same time. After a long search, they finally found what they were looking for in Marche. The proximity to the sea as well as to the mountains make the place perfect. During their stay, guests are part of the lively village community, which is characterized by simplicity and warmth. Guests can stay in a B&B room, an apartment or in one of the tents.

Sustainable
ArchitectureDuring the extensive conversion work, the aim was for the farm to continue to blend in well with the landscape. The old hayloft is now used as a lounge and offers a great view of the countryside. As many existing materials as possible were reused. When planting the vineyard, the choice fell on a local grape variety that perfectly suits the soil and the environment.
FoodGuests can enjoy the agriturismo's own organic olive oil and wine. The farm has a small organic vegetable garden and additional fruit and vegetables come from regional farms. The proportion of organic food is about 50 percent, the rest is not certified organic, but of local origin. There are regular workshops for children, where they can prepare their own pizza. In the summer months you can harvest the fruits of the trees. The hosts offer vegan and vegetarian dishes and are happy to pay attention to any intolerances of the guests.
Fortuna Verde is a small farm run by the Jagersma-Speelman family. The family maintains close partnerships with local businesses and farmers.
EnvironmentSolar panels are used to generate the hot water. Only environmentally friendly cleaning agents are used for cleaning. All accommodations are furnished with used finds from markets and second-hand shops or with home-made accessories. The own vineyard and olive grove are cultivated according to organic guidelines. The vegetable garden is also organic.

Due to the secluded location, it is advisable to have your own car for shopping and excursions. The nearest train station with fast train connections is in San Benedetto del Tronto, 20 km away. There are also rental cars there. From Rome it takes just under 3 hours to reach Agriturismo Fortuna Verde (238 km). It takes just under 4 hours (330 km) from Florence and a good 4 hours (353 km) from Naples. The exact address can be found on the website.
