The Whitepod Resort is located at 1,400 meters in the middle of the Swiss Alps. In the reception chalet, the guest receives a bag with walking sticks, a map and a headlamp. Walk for 15 minutes - there are no cars - and you're in your little cocoon. The pods in the white pod are not of the cold, clammy variety - quite the opposite. Even from the outside, they are real eye-catchers with their spherical structure consisting of a network of triangles. And no less from the inside: all the luxury you want on vacation is here.
Starting with the cozy wood stove over the cozy bed to the heated bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Each pod has been lovingly decorated with local furniture. The large panoramic window provides plenty of sunlight. Whether for families with children, couples in love or those looking for a very special experience - there is a suitable pod for every guest.
The best thing is the environment that the pod residents look at. In summer as in winter, the Alps reveal their breathtaking beauty. In Whitepod you are in the middle of nature - but with all the amenities of a hotel. Or rather: even more. Because where else do you have your own ski slope in front of the door? The private ski area has two ski lifts, red and blue slopes over 7 km. Sledding and ski shoe hiking is also possible. Or try snowscoots, a mixture of cycling and snowboarding. A very fun activity that takes some practice.
In the attached restaurant Cerniers, which is open all day, you can fortify yourself with delicious dishes in a cozy atmosphere. At the foot of the Dents du Midi, numerous marked trails invite you to hike. For tennis players there are 2 artificial grass pitches 5 minutes from Whitepod. Clubs and balls are available free of charge at the reception. Badminton, ping-pong, giant chess and many other games for young and old ensure a good mood. If you feel like taking a break, there is tea with fresh cakes and pastries in the restaurant. Or you can treat yourself to a massage.

ArchitectureA pod is a hemisphere tent with a surface area of 40 m², anchored on a solid, wooden platform. The hemisphere is composed exclusively of triangles. These triangles form a self-supporting frame that forms a solid structure. This made a minimum of building material necessary. The large panoramic window provides plenty of sunlight. Due to their design, the pods require very little energy to maintain a constant internal temperature. The color of the pods varies depending on the season: white in winter, green in summer - this is how the natural energy of sunlight is used. Each pod is a room or a separate suite in itself.
FoodIn the morning there is a breakfast buffet in the pod house between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. with various types of bread, pastries, muesli, homemade jams, fresh fruit juices, cold cuts, fresh fruit, eggs and much more. In the Deluxe Pod and in the Suites Pod, breakfast can be delivered directly to the suite. In the adjoining restaurant Cerniers you can enjoy delicious regional dishes every day. If you want to go hiking, you have the option of taking various prepared picnics with you, which can be ordered in advance at the reception.
EnvironmentTourism and environmental protection can coexist without any problem. To prove this, the Whitepod team started. The consumption of energy and water is used efficiently. The waste is separated and recycled. The purchase of regional products is promoted. The staff live nearby and come to work on foot. Motorized traffic on the site is limited. All electrical devices in the Whitepod correspond to efficiency class A, water-saving shower heads and taps are used in the bathrooms. Guests are made aware of the protection of fauna and flora. Large packaging is purchased to reduce packaging material. Food such as wine and meat are bought from local suppliers, and the restaurant mainly processes seasonal products. All cleaning products are 100% biodegradable, notepads, brochures, packaging, handkerchiefs, toilet paper are "FSC" certified.
Well-BeingThere is a range of different massages. Also a community sauna. The pod suites have a private sauna.

Location + Directions
By car
Whitepod is located above the village of Cerniers in Valais, Switzerland, at the foot of the Dents-du-Midi; opposite Villars, above Monthey, 20 km from the Portes du Soleil, 45 minutes by car from Montreux and 1 hour 30 minutes from Geneva Airport.
With public transport
The nearest airport is in Geneva. The train station is inside the airport. To get to the Whitepod you can either take the interregional train from Geneva to Aigle (direct, 2 times an hour) or the regional train to Monthey. From Monthey train station you can take bus number 63 to the stop “Les Cerniers Restaurant”. The journey takes about 45 minutes.
