Who will be surprised if everything revolves around wine. And about the joie de vivre associated with wine and its culture. And about the pleasure that wine brings when drinking pure and in connection with cheese, chocolate or as an ingredient in cooking.
Since 2002 Sabine and Markus Longen have been serving guests in their Vineria with delicious winemaker cuisine. Since 2013, the award-winning winegrowers' houses have also been available to accommodate guests. If you love wine, this is the place for you in the Longen-Schlöder wine cultural estate right on the Moselle. And also those who want to slow down, who want to come to themselves, who do not want to have to switch off at all, because there is no television to switch on, are in good hands in one of the very private little vintner houses with their own terrace and small gardens.
Just do "nothing" and look into the distance surrounded by greenery. Or visit nearby Trier, hike through the vineyards, cycle along the river, explore the beauties of the Eifel ... And at the end of the day - would you like a cozy glass of Moselle wine?
ArchitectureSleep in award-winning holiday homes made from local wood and slate, which are based on the shape of an original traditional wine cellar on the vineyard. The design concept is characterized by the use of local materials, a clear design language and the use of warm colors, combined with soft and natural fabrics. The window is the door at the same time and the house apparently consists of a single room. A beautiful bathroom with a toilet is cleverly hidden behind the rear wall. In front of each one-room house there is a small terrace and a private garden, depending on availability, there is a choice between a rose, farm, shadow or orchard.
FoodNo TV in the rooms and no schnitzel, fries and beer in the restaurant, that doesn't come into the house here. But of course delicious wine from the steep slopes of the Moselle valley, where the landlord cultivates his vineyards in harmony with nature. In addition, the kitchen of the Vinothek Hausmannskost Deluxe conjures up lunch and dinner. There is always something vegetarian and vegan dishes can also be offered on request. When shopping, wherever possible, attention is paid to animal and environmentally friendly production and usually purchased directly from the producers. Regional and seasonal, of course. The dishes are prepared using particularly gentle cooking techniques that preserve the completeness and nutrients of the ingredients used. In the morning, a breakfast buffet that is as sustainable as possible is tempting.
The WeinKulturgut supports social projects in the region. The working conditions of the approximately 20 employees are very family-friendly and flexible.
EnvironmentThe Longen-Schlöder wine culture is operated according to the triple zero concept. So three times zero - zero kilometers driving, zero waste and zero CO² emissions. Or at least as close to zero as possible. The energy supply is carried out gently from renewable raw materials with the latest technology. Garbage is separated and building materials and food all come from the immediate vicinity.
