The hosts of the Veitenhof say that their guests are often surprised at how quickly a wonderful feeling of relaxation sets in here. Here you immediately have the feeling of having arrived, as a friend - not as a guest. The location of the inn certainly contributes to this cozy feeling: Located in the Tyrolean Ötztal, the Veitenhof is an oasis in the middle of the rural idyll. At the latest with the spectacular view from the terrace you have forgotten all your worries.
From there you have a direct view of the Ötztal mountains and glaciers. Against this magnificent backdrop, parents can send their children here to play and run around in the beautiful nature without any worries. The Veitenhof is ideal as a starting point for hikes and climbing. Nearby is Tyrol's largest waterfall, the Ötzidorf, an archaeological open-air park and a beautiful swimming lake. In winter, snow falls reliably at this height: that means skiing, cross-country skiing and snow playgrounds for children are guaranteed. The entire range of winter sports in Niederthai can be used free of charge by guests of the Veitenhof.
A highlight for horse fans is the in-house Haflinger breeding. Horse rides, riding lessons and horse-drawn carriage rides with the good animals are very popular with young and old. The many other animals that can be petted also make children's eyes shine. After all the activities, you can fortify yourself with good home cooking in the nearby inn. Here, great importance is attached to regionality and only local products are used.
The new, beautiful wellness area ensures optimal relaxation: whether sauna, Kneipp pool, barefoot path, fitness room or massage - there is something for everyone. Of course you can also simply enjoy the sun while sitting on the terrace.

ArchitectureThe building was built in 1968 in the typical Tyrolean style of Tyrol. In 1989 it was converted to half board. The owners Michael and Margreth Leiter regularly renovate and renew individual areas of the courtyard, mainly using natural materials such as clay plaster, wood or felt. The rooms are rather small, but cozy and rural - with lots of wooden elements. The large lounge is flooded with light and nicely decorated. A special highlight is the terrace, which offers a spectacular view of the mountains.
FoodYour hosts in the Vitalhof "der Veitenhof" rely without compromise on 100% organic food, many of which come from their own farm and also from the region. Organic Angus beef meat, organic vegetables and herbs from the garden, jams, bread and syrups from our own production. We offer a breakfast buffet with our own products and organic food, mainly from the region, an organic snack for on the go (for a small surcharge), which can be easily put together at breakfast, with Pichler technology vitalized water, garden - all 100% organic - guests can use it at any time
The Veitenhof operators support local social projects and are particularly committed to the children in their community.
EnvironmentThe operators describe the Veitenhof as 98 percent sustainable. The electricity used is green electricity, the heat comes from solar and wood heating and all food is from organic farming. Of course, all rubbish is separated and this is expected from the guests.
Well-BeingDeep relaxation, satisfaction and well-being do not arise from isolated actions, but from a holistic perspective on body, mind and soul. The wellbeing program in the Veitenhof therefore offers a multifaceted offer: Whether Kneipp pool, barefoot path, herbal hikes, fitness room, infrared cabin or massage - there is something for everyone here. In 2019, a new wellness area with a sauna, infrared cabin, Kneipp pool, tea bar and stone pine panorama relaxation room was expanded.
