Vegan Agrivilla I Pini

San Gimignano, Tuscany, Italy

Located in the middle of Tuscany on a small hill near San Gimignano, the vegan Agrivilla I Pini offers nature lovers looking for peace and quiet a special holiday experience for all the senses.

Dating back to the 15th century, this country house provided refuge for pilgrims on their way to Holy Rome for centuries. Surrounded by organically cultivated olive groves and grapevines that nestle dreamily in the hilly landscape, the villa, which was extensively ecologically renovated in 2018 and has its own organic garden, is still home to people from all over the world today. I Pini decelerates and grounds with a skilful mixture of minimalism, naturalness and down-to-earth luxury. Here, where time seems to have stood still, you can not only relax wonderfully, but also dine deliciously vegan.

Yoga, meditation, sunbathing, extensive hikes or a dip in the saltwater pool - once you have arrived at I Pini you will find an all-round carefree package to completely recharge your batteries. Culture lovers can be in Florence or Siena, the two most beautiful cities in Tuscany, in less than an hour, and the nearby town of San Gimignano also enchants with its medieval charm.

Sustainable

ArchitectureOnly sustainable, natural building materials such as clay, hemp and rice husks were used during the renovation of the 15th-century country house. The interior design is minimalistic, elegant, rustic and luxurious at the same time. This is where the enthusiasm of the hosts for handicrafts from the region is evident: high-quality, handcrafted vintage furniture, Tuscan terracotta, fine linen and organic cotton fabrics create a natural ambience in which you can immediately feel comfortable and grounded.

FoodIn the vegan restaurant I Pini, which belongs to the country house, only organic and seasonal food from the region is processed. Here the focus is on high-quality, fresh ingredients, which are combined to create creative, tasty dishes. Sourdough bread from the wood-fired oven, fruit, vegetables and herbs from our own organic garden: from the seed to the plate, the natural is celebrated and prepared with a lot of love by master craftsmen. I Pini also produces its own organic wines and fine olive oils.

EnvironmentIn the Agrivilla I Pini only natural cleaning products are used, each bathroom has organic shampoo and shower gel. Water is heated using solar panels, surface water is collected for garden irrigation and laundry is line dried instead of tumble dried. Kitchen waste is composted and returned to our own organic garden as rich humus.

Well-BeingArrive, switch off and feel good: this is guaranteed to succeed right away in the vegan Agrivilla i Pini. The olive groves and gardens invite you to stroll, the country house with its 11 individual rooms exudes peace and healing energy at the same time. Guided meditations, mindfulness walks in the area, handicraft activities such as basket weaving and soothing massages can be organized in consultation. Television, telephone and internet were deliberately avoided to make it easier for guests to enjoy a real, relaxing break.

Testimonials

Perhaps swinging in a cozy hammock with views of the rolling hills of Tuscany will soothe you into a peaceful relaxation. Agrivilla i pini is a historic estate nestled among the olive groves and vineyards of Italy, not far from historic San Gimignano. Start the day with a healthy organic homemade farm-to-table breakfast on their panoramic patio before soaking in the salt-water pool. Then take a plant-based cooking class and learn how to prepare healthy meals once you return home from this Italian paradise.
