The THOMI holiday guesthouse is located in a small, quiet alley in Oberwesel. Looking out the window, you can see small backyards and gardens. Behind the houses, you can see the Roßberg hill, which borders directly on the Rhine, and the Ochensturm and Katzenturm towers, which are part of the city wall.
THOMI – that's Thorsten and Micha. Since 2022, they've lived like true lords of the manor in the aforementioned Katzenturm (Cat Tower) in Oberwesel. Their holiday guesthouse, built in 1910, is just a two-minute walk away. It was love at first sight when the two stumbled upon the abandoned house during a stroll. With meticulous attention to detail, they renovated the house and opened it as a holiday guesthouse in 2025. The interior is high-quality, design-oriented, and whimsical. Beautiful wall colors, matching wallpapers, and wonderful pictures and objects adorn the walls. Furthermore, each apartment is individually furnished and dedicated to a figure from the Romantic Rhine region: Lorelei and Schinderhannes. A truly successful combination of unique design and historical charm.
Here you can cook together in the fully equipped kitchen or relax with a book on the sofa. Picturesque streets right outside the door invite you to stroll. The entire region is a holiday paradise. The hosts want to offer their guests an unforgettable stay with authentic tips from this enchanting area – ideal for a wonderful break on the Rhine.

The work was carried out primarily with local craftsmen and the building materials were purchased locally.
The so-called "fridge check-in" means that guests can order groceries before their arrival. The order is then picked up and waiting in the vacation apartment upon arrival. This way, the vacation starts immediately – no tedious shopping or opening hours. Those who do want to enjoy a leisurely breakfast without having to lift a finger can head to the hotel just five minutes away, with which the hosts have a breakfast buffet partnership.
Many pieces of furniture and the old floorboards were refinished. The old windows were repurposed as decorative elements and room dividers. The electricity is green energy, and there is an energy-efficient heat pump. Strict waste separation and the use of organic cleaning products are standard practice.
