Tetenbüllerbü - immer schulfrei!

Tetenbüll, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany

A garden with old trees surrounds the beautiful brick building from the century before last. Where students once learned new things, you can now enjoy a vacation. Directly in front of the patio door facing south you have a wonderful view of the neighbor's park-like garden. In front of the building you have your own garden area with an old walnut and chestnut tree surrounded by rhododendrons. A real gem in the countryside.

The house was built in 1870 as a school building and its modern design was intended to symbolize a new beginning. It has been owned by the Colmant family for over 50 years and was completely renovated a few years ago. The light-flooded building with two bedrooms and a spacious living room offers plenty of space to breathe. The elegant oak parquet flooring, plants and light fabrics give the rooms a stylish coziness. The large dining table and kitchen invite you to cook together and spend sociable evenings. The small reminders of the former use are particularly nice - large maps and display boards from the school. But the wonderful peace and quiet certainly didn't exist in the past when the children played during recess and the school bell rang.

Not far from the accommodation, the Café Theatrium with homemade cakes and the Haus Peters - a general store from the same period - with a cultural program provide variety, and in the nearby sheep's cheese dairy you can enjoy local delicacies. Bicycle tours and trips to the Wadden Sea or to Husum offer many options for nature lovers and foodies alike. The region impresses with its beautiful nature and the fresh air, which lets you fall into the cozy bed wonderfully tired in the evening. And so it feels twice as much like a vacation when you think of the hotel's own motto every morning - always free from school. Because here you can get up whenever you want and enjoy the day without a timetable.

Sustainable

ArchitectureThe vision was to renovate the building, which was completely built up at the end of the 1970s with partially bricked-up windows, suspended ceilings and linoleum floors, as sustainably as possible and to reconstruct the original architecture. During the renovation, work was carried out almost as before, using clay plaster, shell lime, wood and wood wool insulation. Local craftsmen have restored the old charm of the building. By renting it out, this wonderful place and the large property can be preserved.

EnvironmentThe building is lit by green electricity and attention is paid to energy efficiency. Waste separation and recycling are a matter of course.
