ArchitectureThe hotel's unique architecture reflects the desire to preserve the Comporta spirit in a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere. The operators wanted to create a very minimalist environment in which the main actor is not the construction itself, but the nature that surrounds it. The inspiration for the main building comes from old Portuguese rice storage stables. Fishermen and farmers used to live here in houses made of natural materials and thatched roofs. If a child was added, more houses were built around it - but the main house remained where the family came together. The Sublime Comporta accommodations are a modern, luxurious and comfortable version of these Comporta cabanas. They blend in with the surrounding nature in a sublime way and thereby achieve a good balance between design, comfort and respect for nature. Open spaces are connected by glass and wood; the large windows let a lot of light into the interior. You feel connected to nature outside, but still have your privacy. The interior is characterized by white paint, wood, leather and metal and soft fabrics. The decor consists of a successful mix of contemporary design brands and carefully selected local artifacts such as old olive oil barrels, stools made of cork, vases with Portuguese patterns and objects that Gonçalo brought with him from his travels.

FoodIn the restaurant we cook according to the seasons; Local Portuguese recipes are prepared. Vegetarian options are available. The chef works with local fishermen and wineries and uses regional products, with priority given to organic products where possible. The organic restaurant with an open kitchen is located in the center of the garden. At the counter you are in direct contact with the chefs and dine under the stars, surrounded by the wonderful aromas of the garden. Only old cooking methods are used here.

EnvironmentNature is at the forefront of the resort, nothing should affect its beauty. This goes hand in hand with consistent nature conservation. Solar panels are used for heating - for underfloor heating and also for heating the water and the swimming pool. There is also a small waste treatment plant. Sustainability also means that all interest groups in the region are included. All suppliers and products come from the region, just like a large part of the employees. In addition, an organic vegetable garden is maintained, from which some products for the restaurant come.

Well-BeingThe spa offers a wide range of treatments. It includes three treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam bath, a heated indoor pool and a gym. Massages and yoga sessions as well as detoxification, Pilates and meditation and nutritional advice are offered. The hotel's therapists provide intensive advice in order to adapt the treatment to the needs of the guest. Sublime has decided to work with the renowned spa brand "The Organic Pharmacy". All products promote well-being and environmental protection.
