From every room of the Strandhotel Zoomers, guests can see the dunes of North Holland or enjoy a direct sea and beach view. The hotel is only 50 meters away from the beach and thus enables a wonderful holiday in harmony with nature. The hotel restaurant is located directly on the beach, so that breakfast can be enjoyed in the morning with a view of the waves.
The property is a family run hotel. The host family has owned the property for 35 years and has therefore always been rooted in the Castricum coast. Carina's parents' old tea pavilion used to stand on the site of the hotel. The pavilion has belonged to the host Carina and her husband since 2007. In 2020 they opened the hotel after a year and a half of construction. The owners also run the associated beachfront restaurant called Zoomers. By offering accommodation and food, they enable guests to do exactly what they love: nature and freedom in the protected Natura 2000 dune reserve, where all the senses are addressed through enjoyment and slowing down.
The interior design with furniture from HKliving ensures the cozy living atmosphere. The Dutch brand is internationally popular and known and has a large fan base, which is why the host family decided to work together. None of the rooms is the same as the other, but rather has its own special flair.

Sustainable
ArchitectureIn addition to taking sustainable factors into account, the architect created a building that fits perfectly into the landscape. It doesn't stand out but rather complements the surroundings. Whenever it came up, old materials were reused. The floor is made from old cocoa bean shells, for example. The construction took place in cooperation with local companies.
FoodThe restaurant on the stand serves à la carte dishes prepared with local produce. The hosts really appreciate the close vicinity, which is why they only work with regional providers. There are many vegetarian dishes and food intolerances are taken into account.
The employees live a maximum of 15 kilometers from the hotel. You have all worked for the hotel for several years and are firmly integrated in the team. You receive various benefits, such as free access to the gym. The Zoomers has adopted two seals on the island of Texel.
EnvironmentThe hotel uses wood instead of gas for heating. For this purpose, a large pellet heating system was installed and solar collectors were also installed. The hosts care deeply about the environment and make every effort to ensure that the hotel has zero CO2 emissions. The hotel was financed with a sustainable loan from the bank. This means that the lower the CO2 emissions, the lower the rates for the loan. The guests are informed about the sustainability efforts.

By car
The Strandhotel Zoomers can be reached from Amsterdam in half an hour by car (60 km). It takes just under 3 hours from Düsseldorf (259 km), from Bremen around 4 hours (368 km) and from Brussels around 3 hours (249 km). The exact address can be found on the website.
With public transport
The nearest train station in Castricum is 4 km from the hotel. In summer there are bus connections to the beach. Otherwise you have to take a taxi to the hotel or cover the last few kilometers by bike.
