Sustainable

ArchitectureThe country lofts, made of 100% sustainable and regional materials such as solid wood furniture and sheep's wool, were opened in 2018. With their unique furnishing details such as farmer's boxes, snack and herb garden all around including barbecue area and campfire, they offer a relaxing holiday feeling, as well as time to switch off and relax. A start-up company from Eastern Austria was commissioned to build the two lofts, using only regional materials. The theme of "land" runs like a red thread through the accommodations: the farm furniture tells its very own story and the outdoor area consists of a permaculture garden, where there is a lot to discover.

FoodThe Tiny Houses offer a fully functional kitchen including high-quality equipment. Upon request, guests can enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast, which is delivered directly to the door. Only a few steps away from the Tiny Houses is the Leibspeis' organic inn belonging to the SONNENTOR, which offers numerous vegetarian and vegan dishes. The organic area is just a few steps away, where guests can shop for groceries around the clock. These come from organic cultivation and sometimes even from our own cultivation.

A free organic lunch is provided to the employees. In addition, discussions are held annually to promote employees and to discuss next training courses. SONNENTOR attaches great importance to fair remuneration and modern work - so the working hours are fl exible and you can also work in the home office. People with disabilities are well integrated in various departments.

EnvironmentSustainability is a very important aspect for SONNENTOR. The accommodations are supplied with 100% renewable energy sources, a heat buffer and drinking water from their own water supply. The idea of permaculture is lived holistically: rubbish is separated, there is a composting facility (worm compost on the outside of the land lofts), only eco-packaging is used, and all products are free of palm oil. The idea of a resource-saving lifestyle is rounded off with an electroless coffee machine. Overall, the property is CO2 neutral. The energy consumption can even be tracked using a tablet.

Well-BeingIn addition to nature and hiking along the different hiking routes, e-bikes can also be rented. The 7 km long herb trail can also be walked with a stroller. In addition, the SONNENTOR offers a variety of events that can be booked, such as workshops on topics such as herbs and tea, permaculture, cooking, tradition and handicraft, living well and economy for the common good.
