The Eco Lodge il Cisternino consists of a house that houses two beautiful apartments of 50 m². The interior consists of well-chosen, tasteful and high-quality furniture. There is also a heated swimming pool that can be used by both residential units. Around the house guests will fi nd the forest on one side and typical Italian olive trees on the other. The view from the apartments offers a breathtaking view of Lake Garda.
The Eco Lodge has been run by Francesca and her husband Gianluca for six years. The two immediately fell in love with the property, then bought it, even though it was a "dilapidated ruin", but they recognized the great potential and then completely renovated it.
The couple previously lived in Milan, Gianluca was a manager at Ferrari in Maranello and Francesca ran a large shoe shop. Since they found their life stressful, they accepted the challenge and bought the house. Today they enjoy their work very much and enjoy the newly found quality of life - surrounded by the nature of Lombardy, mountains and Lake Garda. They also appreciate the proximity to the cities of Verona, Mantova, Brescia, Venice and Bergamo.

ArchitectureThe old house has been completely renovated in the style typical of the area around Lake Garda: the outside walls are clad with local stones, which regional craftsmen have installed.
Three employees work in the accommodation who live within a radius of 6 km. The hosts regularly donate to the WWF and the FAI.
EnvironmentThe Eco Lodge supplies itself independently from solar panels that are installed in the garden. The water comes from a natural reservoir located 5 km north of the property, and all waste is recycled. The garden is planted and cared for without chemical products and the swimming pool is run with a minimal amount of chlorine. It is also important to Francesca to talk to her guests about environmental issues - that's what she likes best when she goes for a walk with them and shows them the area.
Well-BeingIn the area, and practically right in front of the property's gate, guests can get started with sports: There are a variety of hiking trails and routes for bike tours. Lake Garda also offers the opportunity for kitesurfing and swimming. But the garden with its own swimming pool can also be enjoyed to the full. The outdoor area can also be used for yoga or mediation. Around Lake Garda and in the immediate vicinity of the Eco Lodge there are several golf courses that are very popular due to the mild climate.

Wir hatten wirklich eine herrliche Zeit im San Giorgio Resort. Die Cisternino Eco-Lodge liegt wunderbar abgeschieden und bietet eine traumhafte Aussicht. Since the eco-lodge is relatively remote on the mountain above the lake, it can only be easily reached by car. From Milan it takes about 2 hours to get to the San Giorgio Resort (136 km). Verona is just under 1.5 hours away (77 km), Venice just under 2.5 hours (187 km), Innsbruck just under 4 hours (257 km), Munich a good 5 hours (412 km) and from Zurich you also need just under 5 Hours (412 km).
