A "quinta" is an old farmhouse, and this one is over 150 years old. Since 2021, Kristin and Tobias have been the hosts of this charming bed and breakfast in the Algarve. They emigrated to Portugal in 2020 and found this beautiful place for their guests, which they lovingly renovated. It truly offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday – plenty of nature and tranquility, tasteful outdoor spaces, lovely rooms, friendly company, good food, and a wonderful pool.
The eight rooms are stylishly furnished – old wooden beams, fresh natural colors, and new bathrooms with traditional regional tiles create a harmonious look. The names and colors of the rooms are inspired by local plants such as almond and lemon trees. The partially exposed red stone walls are a testament to the original construction. The high ceilings ensure plenty of light and an airy feel. All rooms have a private entrance with a terrace leading to the large garden. Here, flowers bloom, insects buzz, and other wildlife abound. There are orange trees, palm trees, fruit trees, wildflowers, and seemingly endless sky. The large pool and driving range also cater to all sporting needs.
From delicious homemade breakfasts to light meals during the day and refreshing drinks in the evening, you're perfectly catered for around the clock. Those who do want to explore the surrounding area will be delighted by the beautiful beaches and charming villages nearby, yet will always be happy to return to this peaceful oasis. The warm hospitality of the hosts makes this place truly special.

High-quality and durable materials were used in the renovation; most of the furniture comes from Portugal and is made of solid wood.
Breakfast consists mainly of homemade products such as bread, jam – especially popular are those made from lemons grown in the garden – and egg dishes made with eggs from our own chickens. At lunchtime, you can order salads made from fresh ingredients, wraps and other light meals, all freshly prepared. To avoid food waste, breakfast is served individually and tailored to the guests' wishes. The fruit grown on the property, such as oranges, lemons, pomegranates, peaches, figs and plums, is organic. In summer, a delicious BBQ is held for guests once a week. In addition, a 3-course menu is offered once a week, freshly prepared by a local chef.
The three employees all live within a few kilometers of each other. They are offered flexible working hours, are paid significantly above the minimum wage, and regular employee events are held.
The owners have implemented several measures to conserve water and electricity and use resources responsibly. A photovoltaic system with battery storage allows them to generate a large portion of their own electricity. Hot water is produced using solar panels. Waste is separated, and edibles are fed to the chickens. The kitchen has an activated carbon water filter, eliminating the need to buy bottled water. Cleaning staff are trained in the economical use of cleaning products and water. Guests are encouraged to use the air conditioning sparingly and reuse pool towels. The garden is watered as little as possible, and low-maintenance plants have been selected. Toiletries are from a Portuguese natural cosmetics company.
Massages and facials are offered on site by professional external therapists. In addition, all guests receive comprehensive tips on restaurants and excursions before their stay, and to ensure that guests can truly relax, the hosts are happy to book everything for them so that they don't have to worry about a thing.
