The “Oaza” is a unique refuge on the sun-drenched island of Hvar in Croatia.
In a historic Dalmatian winery dating back to 1876, traditional craftsmanship is combined with stylish elegance. The carefully restored stone house retains its original charm - old wooden floorboards, elegant marble mosaic and terrastone floors create an authentic living experience. Antique windows and doors tell of times gone by, while modern amenities ensure the highest level of comfort for guests.
Surrounded by a Mediterranean garden with spacious terraces and an inviting pool, the property offers an oasis of peace. The former wine cellar, the "Konoba", now serves as an open living and dining area with kitchen. Every piece of furniture in the house comes from an in-house collection, made from recycled materials. An antique cast-iron spiral staircase from India sets a special accent. Nothing here is off the shelf - every detail has been chosen with love and care to create a cozy atmosphere.
Idyllic hiking and cycling trails start right on the doorstep of the "Oaza", while the crystal-clear sea with hidden natural beaches, windsurfing and diving opportunities are just a few kilometers away. The historic towns of Stari Grad and Jelsa, both rich in cultural heritage, are quickly accessible.

ArchitectureWherever possible, original elements were preserved and supplemented with recycled building materials, such as antique beams. The custom-made furniture is produced in-house (Instagram: hofart_interior) and is made of high-quality, durable teak from sustainable forestry. The pool is operated with salt water, and natural stone from the island blends harmoniously into the overall picture.
FoodWith three fully equipped kitchens, the property offers plenty of space for creative cooking evenings - whether at cooking classes, retreats or private dinner events. If desired, a private chef can be booked to transform regional specialties and the finest ingredients into unique moments of enjoyment.
EnvironmentThe property uses solar thermal energy, waste separation is a matter of course, and its own herb garden provides guests with fresh aromas. Not far from the winery, in a UNESCO-protected area called "Ager", there is its own olive grove with around 100 trees. This is managed ecologically and the olive oil produced from it is of the highest quality - 100% pesticide-free.
Well-BeingAs a trained movement therapist, phytotherapist, yoga teacher and masseuse, the host's partner offers a wide range of treatments for body and mind. Guests can book private yoga lessons, meditations, breathwork sessions or soothing massages. Guided excursions, such as wild herb walks, also allow for a deep immersion in nature and its healing powers.
