Minimalus Koblenz

Koblenz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany

Minimalus Koblenz consists of two unique historic apartments housed in a house built in 1903. The building is detached and quietly located, only about a twenty-minute walk from the city center and five minutes from the Rhine.

The charm of the old building was preserved during the extensive renovation. The original wooden floorboards were refurbished and partially exposed wall paintings give the rooms a special atmosphere. The high-quality furnishings of the apartments include oak parquet flooring, integrated appliances such as an oven and refrigerator, as well as creative design elements made of solid wood, steel and stone.

Host Marius renovated the house together with his brother Ajoscha and with the support of family and friends. The history of the house is alive - passers-by stop again and again and share their memories.

Each apartment is like a small nest, ideal for quiet retreats. Minimalus I, which is on the ground floor, radiates warm tones and has two rooms, a bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen that opens onto an idyllic courtyard equipped with comfortable seating and an outdoor hot tub - a perfect place to relax. The courtyard offers absolute privacy and is the highlight of this special accommodation.

Minimalus II is located on the upper floor. The apartment's spacious living area has a four-poster bed that offers a view of the 7-meter-long room. The room, as well as all other rooms in this apartment, are decorated in a calming shade of green and equipped with modern accents made of wood and steel. The window offers a view of a quiet, quiet street.

Sustainable

ArchitectureWhen renovating the house, great importance was attached to preserving as much of the original structure as possible. Used windows were used, and custom-made cupboard doors and shelves were created from old wood, giving the room a special, sustainable touch. Old pieces of furniture were carefully refurbished and thus given their new shine. A coffee table made from an old marble slab was turned into a unique one-of-a-kind piece with a precisely welded base frame. The building materials were sourced locally wherever possible. The wood for the terrace came from local timber merchants, which not only conserved resources but also strengthened the connection to the environment.

EnvironmentOld furniture has been carefully refurbished, the floor has been restored to its original beauty, and ecological cleaning products are used throughout the apartment. The compact living space has been cleverly designed to save energy, while smart heating control ensures maximum comfort. Waste separation and sustainable practices round off the environmentally conscious concept. As an engineer for sustainable construction, Marius shows in the apartments how well thought-out space planning and individual design can make a comfortable life possible even in small, old apartments.

Well-BeingThe ground floor apartment offers a private hot tub, available to guests (except in winter) to relax and enjoy the tranquility.
