Michelberger Farm

Vetschau, Brandenburg, Germany

The legendary Spreewald is only an hour away from the bustling city of Berlin. With its waterways and lush greenery, the region invites you to enjoy a varied nature holiday and culinary adventures.

The hosts Nadine and Tom Michelberger opened the four-sided farm - the Michelberger Farm - to guests in 2023. During the pandemic, the idea matured to create a place that offers plenty of peace and relaxation for stressed city dwellers and at the same time to realize the long-held dream of growing your own fruit and vegetables. This created an idyllic oasis that offers scenic diversity and at the same time enriches and complements the farm-to-table gastronomy concept of the Michelberger Hotel in Berlin. The restaurant in the city naturally also benefits from the fresh farm products.

The farm is characterized by its particularly sustainable construction. The buildings are made of bricks and wood, processed using traditional methods. The holiday apartments reflect this philosophy and offer a cozy, light-filled atmosphere in Scandinavian design. There are eleven rooms in total - including two holiday apartments and a loft. While breakfast and dinner are included in the booking for the rooms and the loft, you can also cook for yourself in the holiday apartment if you feel like it.

At the Michelberger Farm, guests experience first-hand the environmentally friendly measures and regenerative agriculture in the fields. Seasonal and local dishes are lovingly prepared here and in summer can be enjoyed together in the middle of the fields and around the large pond. The Michelberger Farm is more than just accommodation - it is a place where sustainability and community are the focus.

Sustainable

ArchitectureThe design for the Michelberger Farm was created by the well-known Danish architect Sigurd Larsen, who lives in Berlin. The aesthetics of high-quality natural materials such as brick and wood are functional and at the same time timelessly beautiful. Local craftsmen were preferred.

There are free overnight stays for employees so they can experience the farm for themselves. Regular training and further education in agriculture. Delicious food and farm products are also offered to employees.

EnvironmentOnly Ecolab cleaning products with special dosing options for particularly environmentally friendly use are used. There is also a sewage treatment plant for waste water in the holiday apartments. Waste separation is just as natural as the resource-saving use of all products and natural fertilizers for the fields. One of the farm's goals is to regenerate the agricultural area, promote biodiversity and develop a long-term functioning ecosystem.

Well-BeingAt the end of 2024, a yoga room and a sauna will open – for even more relaxation.

Testimonials
