Mi Cielo

Vejer de la Frontera, Andalusia, Spain

Don't just dream about it, just do it! You often hear this advice. Well, it's usually not "easy" at all. Nevertheless, the designers at mi Cielo dared to win it all round. Life quality. Enjoyment of life. Liveliness. Closeness to nature.

For four years, three generations of an Austrian family have lived here, just under 20 km from the Atlantic Ocean, in the midst of unspoilt Andalusian nature. In their recently completed guest accommodation they now want to welcome people of all generations and in their diversity and diversity.

The houses are between trees and on stilts and can be rented together even better. The guests have their own retreat with terrace and bathroom and can meet other people at the pool, while playing and at meals, which can either be taken together at the large family table with all those present, or at romantic tables in the private room between the Trees.

We also featured this accommodation on our blog at Five family-friendly places.

Sustainable

ArchitectureIn order to be able to open AMAMIC - mi Cielo for guests, two self-sufficient tree houses were built. They consist mainly of regional natural materials and blend in shape and dimension harmoniously with the natural environment. The sun shines in and out through many openings like through the tree tops. The sun also provides the electricity for the two wooden houses, while the water is pumped up from the 60 m deep well.

FoodHalf or full board is available for guests of mi Cielo. The varied and healthy dishes are prepared with regional products and vegetables, fruits and herbs from our own garden. This is managed according to the principles of permaculture in a permanent, sustainable and natural cycle. Many wild herbs and edible flowers make the dishes and cakes tasty and beautiful. There are always vegetarian meals. Bread and cakes are baked and of course there are homemade jams. A specialty of the house are the lemonades made from their own fruits, flowers and herbs ... (strawberry, lavender, rose lemonade, lemon balm syrup ...).

Construction work on mi Cielo was undertaken with the help of local companies and with fair payment. The mi Cielo family came to this place to build something that serves the general public. In the direct and close environment, but also overall for a better global world and for future generations. Mi Cielo strives to include all generations and all people. There is special support, both structural and interpersonal, that should make it possible for people with different physical or mental limitations to come here. Mi Cielo offers the organization of children's birthday parties with healthy meals, games without competition, treasure hunt and much more.

EnvironmentYou can get here by car ... that's almost inevitable. But when the content has got out or loaded from the cars, the motor vehicles stay nice in the parking area of the property, because they are not allowed in. Even people walking should only walk under the trees on the paths laid out in order to disturb the natural flora and fauna as little as possible. On mi Cielo, the owners try to create a harmonious coexistence between people and nature. The water comes from a 60 m deep groundwater well, the cleaning and disposal of the waste water takes place on the property itself. The pool is also filled with groundwater and disinfected with salt, which is good for people and does not harm nature if the water is reintroduced into the natural cycle when exchanged. Mi Cielo's energy supply also works independently thanks to solar panels. All of this works smoothly by consistently saving energy and using resources sparingly. Natural cosmetic products are made available to guests. Guests are asked to use biodegradable products (as sparingly as possible) (soaps, shampoos and sunscreen, etc.) Of course, only biodegradable products are used for cleaning and washing.

Well-BeingThe 16 meter long pool is suitable for extensive laps and is beneficial for your skin and hair with a salt content of 0.3 percent. The sea is only 20 minutes away by car.
