Just five minutes from an idyllic lake, surrounded by greenery, trees, bushes and flowers, you will find an accommodation called Mellengarten. Seven years ago, the hosts Anja Siempelkamp and Harald Horder fell in love with the landscape of the Uckermark and six years ago they built a solid wooden house with two residential units on a total of 8,500 square meters of land in the middle of their small organic nursery.
In the area, the nights are still starry and the view of the Milky Way makes this place a little paradise. There is a pleasant calm, which is only interrupted by the calling of the cranes. With its nature reserves and many wonderful bathing lakes, the area is perfect for relaxing.
The accommodation itself is no less wonderful - Scandinavian design, simple but noble materials and light-flooded rooms, some of which are 4.50 meters high, invite you to relax. After a long walk in one of the many surrounding biosphere reserves, you can relax perfectly with a cup of tea by the beautiful, rotating tiled fireplace in the holiday apartment.

Sustainable
ArchitectureThe house is made of arctic pine. The colors, oils and materials used are ecological. Most of the furniture is made of oiled wood and the linen and decoration are also made exclusively of natural materials - organic cotton, down or linen. The trade companies that supported the construction of the holiday home all came from a radius of a few kilometers. In addition, the wood for the interior and the outbuildings comes from the local sawmill.
FoodDepending on the season, fresh organic vegetables are offered and depending on what you want and need, meals are cooked for guests once a week. The resulting waste is pre-composted with the help of EMs and then ends up on the compost.
EnvironmentIt is heated with an energy-efficient, modern wood heating system. Only rainwater collected in large cubitainers is used for watering the garden. In addition, Mellengarten has received organic certification and produces young plants and vegetables in organic quality.
Well-BeingThere is the possibility that a physiotherapist can come for a massage if required, a massage table is available in the house.

By car
It takes about 2 hours to drive from Berlin to the Mellengarten holiday apartment (126 km). It takes about 3.5 hours from Hamburg (282 km) and from Rostock it is a good 2 hours (201 km). The exact address can be found on the website.
With public transport
The nearest train stations are in Fürstenberg (36 km from the apartment) and Templin (29 km away). There is a dial-a-bus that goes to Boitzenburger Land. A pick-up from the train station is also possible on request.
