Madonella Agricola

Rom, Lazio, Italy

In the morning, you'll be awakened by the cock-a-doodle-doo of the rooster, and the view from the window reveals a green idyll: grass, trees, shrubs, flowers, and the vast sky. When the gate of the Madonnella Agricola opens, you feel like you've entered a tranquil oasis, bringing you good cheer and relaxation.

The property originally belonged to a noble artist who was passionate about nature. He transformed the property into a beautiful setting by planting cork oaks, cypresses, and many other special plants. Since 2016, this piece of nature has been cared for by the current owners, Mariangela and Giulio, an artist himself. They open the property to all those seeking a connection to natural beauty and tranquility.

Madonnella Agricola is a small organic farm outside Rome that combines the couple's dreams and passions. After several years abroad, they had a clear vision of what they were looking for and wanted to create: a place of nature and beauty, for themselves and for others.

The rooms at the property are all individually designed, yet they share a bright, dreamy atmosphere with unexpected details. They were built from natural materials such as wood, clay, and lime, reflecting the values and design approach of the hosts. Each room is furnished with personal items from the family's history, as well as paintings by Giulio. The atmosphere is peaceful, relaxing, bright, natural, simple, yet elegant.

Sustainable

ArchitectureThe architecture of the property is unique in the region and inspired by many places that have impressed the owners throughout their lives. Natural materials such as wood, clay, and lime create a simple and personal aesthetic. Local artisans and Italian materials were used in the construction to ensure authenticity and a connection to the surroundings.

FoodThe cuisine at Madonnella Agricola is vegetarian, seasonal, and local. The garden is organic, designed to promote harmony and biodiversity while offering a diverse flavor experience. Many products come directly from the property, such as the olive oil, eggs, jams, and sourdough bread made with a 300-year-old "starter," as well as the cakes baked according to recipes handed down from mothers and grandmothers. Only local producers are used: cheeses, craft beers, wines, and regional products come from nearby producers known and appreciated by the hosts personally. Every single ingredient at Madonnella Agricola is carefully selected and tested.

Well-BeingThe property offers a variety of relaxation and adventure options: soothing massages, a hot tub for relaxing hours, a pool for cooling off, a pottery workshop, and cooking classes.
