Kleine Bleibe

Montabaur-Reckenthal, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany

When an experienced hotel manager and project manager - Caro - and an architect and trained carpenter - Nils - join forces to create a natural oasis of calm for their guests, then that's pretty good prerequisites. If both are from the region, it sounds like an authentic idea. And when both of them have the last name Fröhlich, nothing can go wrong. The “Kleine Bleibe” has just opened and is the epitome of modern construction and holiday culture. The high-quality materials and the puristic look ensure peace and balance in addition to the beautiful nature.

The two self-catering holiday homes with the sauna house for four people invite you to a 360-degree nature experience. Everything has been planned and realized with great attention to detail. The result is a magical place where forest bathing is not a buzzword. In the GIPFELGLÜCK house for two people there is a free-standing bathtub with a view through a panoramic window into the middle of the forest. The steep ascent gives the house with its 42 square meters its name. Once at the top, it is a real experience of nature and pure (summit) happiness.

The WALDWUNDER house has 60 square meters and is suitable for four people. It has large (sitting) windows and an outdoor terrace that connects the guest directly with nature. The minimalist interior of the accommodation leaves plenty of room for your own needs and interpretation. A spacious kitchen invites you to cook together and in the living room or on the terrace you can eavesdrop on nature when you wake up or go to bed. A yoga session at dawn, browsing in the afternoon or social game evenings - here everything goes with natural mindfulness.

Sustainable

ArchitectureThe architects made no compromises during construction. Everything should be as natural as possible and robust as necessary to conserve resources. Local craftsmen, pure materials, ceramics from the Westerwald and natural colors. The houses were placed in such a way that they have an unobstructed view of the valley and the existing plum and walnut trees were not endangered. The built-in spruce wood also binds Co2 (approx. 150 tons per year) and the rainwater is collected for garden irrigation. When it came to the surface coverings, particular attention was paid to ensuring that the rainwater seeps away naturally on the property and does not get into the sewage system.

EnvironmentEverything was considered and planned from A to Z. Emission-free hot water treatment using an air-water heat pump, 100% green electricity from regional energy sources, e-charging station at the house, bicycle parking spaces and good public transport connections, a largely paperless office, certified fair trade products made from organic cotton are used for bed linen and towels used, soap or washing-up liquid are from organic and environmentally friendly production.

Well-BeingThe HITZEKISTE sauna house for four people is equipped with a rain shower and Kneipp hose. A fire bowl provides warmth depending on the outside temperature and needs. The area is also ideal for hiking, cycling, canoeing, pedal boating and swimming.
