The Bedouin tent Jaima Teseguite offers 35 square meters of oriental tent atmosphere with the luxury of a modern apartment. The Bedouin tent is located on an aloe farm on the edge of a bird conservation park, a place of tranquility in the middle of fields outside the small village of Teseguite.
The Jaima Teseguite is an isolated Bedouin tent with a balanced indoor climate. There is also a gas stove for cool winter evenings. It is divided into a living room with a sofa, satellite TV, a music system, and WIFI, a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge and a gas stove, a shower room that meets the latest requirements, and a bedroom with a double bed measuring 160 x 200 cm, with a latex mattress.
When the sun rises over the sea, it shines in bed in some months. Breakfast on the sunny, sheltered terrace is a good start to the day. The neighborhood here is nature. There is a lot to discover for nature lovers. Various dirt roads, plains and notch valleys, birds, rabbits, lizards, plants, etc., encourage hikes.
The nearest beach is 10 minutes by car, Costa Teguise and Famara 15 minutes. The nearest supermarket is 3 km away. The capital Arrecife is 10 km, 15 minutes by car. Towels and bed linen are changed weekly. Laundry, we watch over for you. The owners live on the Aloe farm and are available for their guests on site. Pets are not allowed, smokers please.
We smoke on the terrace out of respect for the next tenants. It is recommended to rent a car to discover the beauty of the island. There are 2 bus routes that connect Teseguite to Arrecife, Teguise and the north of the island. The bus stop is 300 meters away.

Sustainable
ArchitectureThe construction of the tent started as an experiment. 40 sqm roof area is the largest contiguous piece of fabric that Melchior Zeidler has ever processed. The resulting roof shape is designed to emulate the shape of the volcanic mountains in the background. The tent has been ready since spring 2017. The wood for the floor and terrace comes from sustainable Galician reforestation. With the help of an old carpenter from the village, the woodwork was carried out and all surfaces were protected against weathering and insect damage using the natural technique of burning. The partition in the tent is plastered with natural clay.
EnvironmentIn itself, a tent is one of the most sustainable types of living, as it is practically completely removable. This stands on a floor made of recycled pallets that do not seal the floor and is made of natural materials as far as possible. Guests are expected to treat nature with respect and we are always happy to participate in waste separation with our own composting. The drinking water supply comes from upgraded rainwater and the energy generation is 100% self-sufficient from sunlight.

With public transport
There is a bus that runs from Arrecife through Teseguite. The bus stop is 300 meters away. A rental car is recommended for exploring the island.
