Innermoser

Mühlen in Taufers, South Tyrol, Italy

The Innermoser farm is idyllically surrounded by South Tyrolean mountains and meadows, in the small village of Mühlen in Taufers.

The three chalets were created using a unique and environmentally friendly construction method. They are inconspicuous and at the same time cleverly integrated into the slope. The building materials used come partly from their own property or were procured from the region.

The hosts are Manuel and Petra with their three children. They opened the family-run property in summer 2021. The Innermoser is a place of relaxation - a small oasis of well-being in which guests can switch off from everyday stress. For this reason, the cozy chalets have also been given appropriate names: dream, happiness and tranquility. Different colors were assigned to the names, which are reflected in the interior design: dream has the color yellow, happiness has the color green and calm has the color blue. A lot of wood and light was used in all three chalets.

The Innermoser stands for simple elegance that is in harmony with nature. Small and large guests can experience a “farm holiday” in a very unique way.

Sustainable

ArchitectureThe chalets were built on a slope in the middle of the meadow; After completion of the shell, the surfaces were planted again. All rooms (apart from the toilet) have frameless and full-area windows. The ceiling height was deliberately set at 2.5 meters to create a feeling of freedom and an endless space. Most of the furnishings were made from local woods such as spruce, birch, stone pine and larch. All living rooms and bedrooms are laid with real wooden floors. Only local suppliers were commissioned, who mostly used regional materials.

FoodGuests can choose what they would like to have for breakfast the next day. The selection is served in the form of a breakfast basket. Great emphasis is placed on the use of regional and local products from the area and / or neighboring farms. Fruit and vegetables grow in your own garden, without the addition of fertilizers and pesticides; Food waste is composted.

EnvironmentThe three chalets were built according to the "KlimaHaus Class A" standard. They are heated with wood pellets. There is a separate room for separating rubbish Thanks to controlled ventilation with heat recovery, hardly any energy is lost. The hosts are PEFC-controlled forest owners and do not use any artificial fertilizers in agriculture.

Well-BeingEach of the chalets has its own fi niche sauna, a panoramic bathtub and a rain shower. The area around South Tyrol is ideal for bike tours, hiking, climbing, forest bathing, paragliding, rafting, via ferrata, swimming, horse riding, skiing, tobogganing, ice skating, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, kayaking and flylining.
