Hotel Baumpalast

Rosenberg, Southern Germany, Germany

Wake up in the morning and look directly into the green peaks of the trees. Maybe even be greeted by animal neighbors like birds or squirrels. Take a deep breath and enjoy the good, pure forest air. Hear nothing but the song of the birds or the buzzing of the bees. This is how a typical day in the Tree Palace begins. The facility consists of seven individual tree houses, which stand on stilts at the highest point, about five meters high, on the edge of a mixed pine forest. The tree houses supplied with green electricity all have light and electricity and can also be heated in winter.

With a delicious breakfast basket delivered directly to the tree house from the local baker, you can make plans for the day in peace. For all other meals there are various offers of Baden and Swabian cuisine in the nearby town or via a delivery service. Many guests like to end the day with a barbecue at the fire pit with a view of the sunset.

An overnight stay in the tree house was a dream, especially for children. The beautiful forest is also a perfect adventure playground - without expressways and traffic, so that parents can lean back and relax with a book. In the complex there is a cable car, a hill for Kettcar races, and in summer the three nearby swimming ponds invite you to cool off. The varied landscape in the immediate vicinity of the facility can be extensively explored on an extended hike, bike tour or in winter with cross-country skiing. Popular destinations are the Franconian-Swabian Way of St. James or the climbing garden. After the evening campfire, the children fall asleep under the green roof of the trees.

There is a very special nature experience for animal lovers: at Nature Trails, holidaymakers can take a tour with 17 friendly Siberian huskies all year round. Tree Palace guests even get a 10 percent discount off the price of the night when they book a husky tour.

Sustainable

ArchitectureApart from the toilets and screws, the houses are made of 100 percent natural materials, especially wood, and can be easily dismantled, reused and recycled. Special features are the large windows and skylights, which make the rooms particularly bright and friendly. All houses have their own balcony.

Due to its rural location, a strong regional integration and deep roots in the area are indispensable for the Tree Palace. In this way, as many local service providers as possible are involved: from the baker who delivers the breakfast, to the local gastronomy, the carpenters or mechanics who are available for repairs, to leisure providers such as nature trails for the popular husky tours. All employees come from the immediate vicinity and also live here. The team has a familiar, friendly and familiar working atmosphere.

EnvironmentThe Tree Palace is an ideal place to relax, especially for environmentally conscious holidaymakers. This is not the only reason why environmentally friendly operation with the smallest possible ecological footprint is very important for Oliver Rohm and his team. To save water and protect the environment, the tree houses only have compost toilets with wood chips that are emptied daily. (Guests who are not yet familiar with this will quickly put off their skepticism about possible odor nuisance). In addition, a seepage system will soon be completed to filter gray water and use it better. Energy is supplied by a green electricity provider and wherever possible, materials are reused according to the principle of upcycling.
