The Altes Land near Hamburg is a wonderfully green area - in spring the beautiful cherry blossoms and in autumn the juicy apple harvest attract tourists, migratory birds and even filmmakers to this region. Hof Sand - a listed thatched roof property from 1780 - is located on a small terp in the middle of the nature reserve directly on the Elbe.
