ArchitectureThe Eco-Aparthotel is a complete solid wood house with a local larch facade and spruce house structure. Natural materials create a warm atmosphere, while ecological heating with our own wood chips provides warmth. All the wood for the new building comes from local forests in the Puster Valley and was processed by the Theurl company in their factory in East Tyrol and installed by the Gruber carpentry business directly from Niederdorf.

FoodMainly regional and seasonal products are used in the kitchen. The honey comes from our own apiary, meat and sausage products, dairy products, bread, eggs, jam, fruit and fish from nearby farms. Some of the food waste is fed to the pigs on a neighboring farm, while the rest is used in a biogas plant. At HIRBEN Naturlaub, great importance is attached to the typical South Tyrolean cuisine, which mainly consists of homemade specialties such as all kinds of dumplings or dumplings. A highlight of the week is Dumpling Wednesday.

Social80 percent of the employees come either from Niederdorf or the surrounding villages. You get free accommodation and can use the hotel facilities. In addition, they have very flexible working hours, many opportunities for further training, can rent e-bikes at any time and receive free breakfast and lunch. The Stoll family also supports local clubs such as the music band, the church choir, the tennis club and the Niederdorf volunteer fire brigade. These are either financially supported or catered for on special occasions.

EnvironmentThe accommodation consistently focuses on sustainability and environmental protection. With an electric car charging station, ecological heating with wood chips, LED lamps and motion detectors throughout the hotel, heat recovery from ventilation devices, a water-saving system for taps and showers, ecological cleaning products and recycling, the hosts actively contribute to environmental protection. In addition, food producers who offer environmentally friendly packaging were selected. The host family also keeps their own bee colonies and promotes biodiversity through insect-friendly flower meadows and green roofs. The topic of sustainability is addressed on the homepage and in the weekly post and also actively communicated to the guests.

Well-BeingRelaxation is a top priority at HIRBEN Naturlaub. There is a Finnish sauna, a steam bath, a bio sauna, an infrared cabin, a hay sauna, two relaxation areas, a wellness bar, a salt peeling in the steam bath and numerous massages, a yoga room and a 25 meter infinity pool. The accommodation also offers guided hikes and e-bike/mountain bike tours. There are numerous hiking opportunities (also directly from the hotel) in the vicinity or in the Dolomites. Niederdorf is the 1st Kneipp for me® adventure village in Italy with a large Kneipp activity park and a trained Kneipp trainer. There are also various events in the vicinity, such as alpine forest bathing, alpine air and mountain crystal or sound meditation organized by the Niederdorf tourist association. Cycle tours are possible for every fitness level and in all four directions - from the leisurely tour over the well-developed cycle paths towards Lienz or Bruneck, over the old railway line to Cortina d'Ampezzo or the more demanding variant on the Marchkinkele.
