Himmelreich-Chalets

Lam, Bavaria, Germany

For the Koller family, everything has revolved around wood and sustainable forestry for a long time. In their family business, they have always combined ecology and economy. The two spacious Himmelreich Chalets, which were built entirely from their own wood, have been available since 2021. In the houses it smells correspondingly wonderfully of the forest.

The solid oak kitchens are excellently equipped for cooking sessions together. The bathroom has a Finnish and bio sauna, a rain shower and underfloor heating. Natural latex mattresses and ecological bedding ensure a healthy atmosphere and a great indoor climate. There is also the option of switching off completely in the bedroom - with a so-called power switch for restful sleep without electricity.

With their natural and sustainable chalets, the Koller family would like to enable guests to have a relaxing holiday in one of the most beautiful valleys in the region. The highlight is of course the great view from the covered terraces of the mountain panorama of the Bavarian Forest, which invites you to many activities.

In summer you can hike and climb here and enjoy the sunset with a view in the evening. In winter you can learn to ski in the in-house ski school, sweat at the fireplace or in the sauna and enjoy warm feet. A so-called firewater bowl invites you to a heavenly hot bath in the great outdoors. Who can say that they have vacationed in the Kingdom of Heaven? Heavenly hours are guaranteed here!

Sustainable

ArchitectureOnly local craftsmen have built the chalets, the floors, the furniture and the saunas from the family's own fir, spruce and oak trees. Modern all-wood construction from our own timber. The firewater cup (hotpot) made of stainless steel, can be recycled at any time at the company and the sauna is made of our own untreated fir wood. Natural rubber, eco-cotton, hemp and sheep's wool complete the natural and healthy materials.

EnvironmentA wood chip heating system and a photovoltaic system supply the houses with green energy and electricity. Ecological products are also used for the cleaning of the chalets and the laundry. Using as little plastic as possible is also the declared goal. When handing over the house, the hosts convey their philosophy of living sustainability. For a stay of six days, they offer guests a guided tour of the forest if they are interested.
