When the Mahler family was looking for a multigenerational project with their two children and grandparents, the property literally found them. The location in Hof near Salzburg was perfect - completely quiet and yet close to the city. On the one hand, the immediate nature around you, as well as the proximity to the lake and the mountains, and on the other hand, art and culture in Salzburg are not far away. With her many years of experience in traditional tourism, the host Magdalena Mahler wanted to try something new and enable gentle and sustainable tourism in her home country. For them this means: quality over quantity and a strong regional focus.
The mountains of the Salzkammergut, Schober and Schafberg can already be seen from the holiday apartments. If the weather is good, it is possible to see as far away as the Traunstein. But the best way to enjoy nature is outdoors, hiking, mountain biking, swimming, stand-up paddling, skiing, cross-country skiing or golfing.

Sustainable
ArchitectureInside, the holiday apartments have a minimalist, Scandinavian design with modern furniture. In order to have the highest quality and durable furniture possible, the furniture was custom-made by a carpenter from the region. In the outdoor area, an attempt was made to have as much green space as possible. The construction work was carried out by local craft firms in order to strengthen the region here as well.
FoodWhen guests arrive, the fridge is filled with 100% organic food. There is also a welcome package with organic delicacies from the region.
EnvironmentIt is heated by geothermal energy (deep drilling). Each apartment has its own e-charging station. In the garden there are raised beds with herbs, fruit and vegetables. With a cleaning agent manufacturer from the region, individual cleaning plans were drawn up in order to save water and cleaning agents. Environmentally friendly products are also used in the kitchen and vegan, organic and fair products are available in the bathrooms.

It takes less than 30 minutes from Salzburg to reach Hof bei Salzburg (18 km). From Linz it is just under 1.5 hours (122 km), from Graz it takes just under 3 hours (267 km), from Vienna also around 3 hours (285 km) and from Munich it only takes just under 2 hours to "haus und hof" (163 km). With public transport
Buses run regularly from Salzburg to Hof bei Salzburg. The journey takes 30 minutes. The bus stop is only three minutes away from"haus und hof".
