The Gasthof Bad Dreikirchen, a charming mountain hotel with 26 cozy rooms, combines a traditional ambiance with modern comforts. The hotel experienced its boom thanks to tourism in South Tyrol around the turn of the century and has since developed into a popular retreat.
Due to its location near the mountains, the inn offers a pleasant respite from the heat in the valleys, especially in summer, while at the same time preserving the traditions and customs of the region for future generations.
The rustic, woody atmosphere creates a cozy and inviting mood throughout the house. The bathrooms were designed in a warm "chanterelle yellow," inspired by the bright yellow of mushrooms, which brings additional light into the wood-dominated ambiance. Contrasting, anthracite-colored iron frames add elegant accents that perfectly complement the natural wood.
The breakfast veranda, bathed in the sun in the morning, is the perfect place to start the day. A beautiful outdoor pool provides refreshment in between.

ArchitectureThe inn is located in an old, listed, wooden building that exudes warmth and charm. Sustainability was taken into account during the renovation, with the use of locally sourced wood and reusing old building materials. 95% of the furniture comes from old farmhouse furniture from the surrounding area, and the garden is landscaped with local plants. There are no paved surfaces or access roads. All of the craftsmen involved in the renovation come from the surrounding villages. Local stone was used for the garden walls. The wooden roof was covered with larch shingles from South Tyrol, underscoring the traditional character of the house.
FoodFresh dairy products, eggs, vegetables, meat, herbs, and spices are delivered daily from the region and nearby farms. The cuisine is simple yet indulgent—traditional specialties so delicious that guests come all the way up the mountain for them.
Some of the inn's employees come from the region. Training courses are offered regularly, and employees receive free room and board. Part-time work is also available upon request, with regular working hours guaranteed.
EnvironmentHeating and hot water are provided by a modern pellet boiler operated by a regional supplier. Heat recovery in the cooling systems and LED lighting throughout ensure energy efficiency. Old building materials were reused during the renovation, and waste separation is consistently practiced. The in-house, mineral-rich water comes from a private spring. Water consumption is reduced by water-saving jets in the showers and sinks, and organic soft soap is used to clean the wooden floorboards.
Well-BeingThe inn offers a heated outdoor pool with a large sunbathing lawn and comfortable loungers, ideal for relaxing and soaking up the sun. The fireplace lounge, featuring a Bösendorfer grand piano, provides cozy hours. A table tennis room is available, as is a library for quiet reading.
