In the riverbed directly on the turquoise Isar river, a huge skylight above the bed offers a view of the sky, the forest and, at night, the stars.
Looking out the side window, you see the mountain meadow above the sauna and beyond it, the vastness of the forest. It's a place that offers tranquility, invites you to retreat, and allows you to connect with nature. Everything here is harmoniously coordinated; every detail bears the signature of hosts Susi and Marc.
Completed at the beginning of 2026, this house in Tyrol combines cozy modern design with natural materials: warm Swiss pine, textured concrete, and black steel meet expansive windows. Flooded with light and open, yet simultaneously homey and carefully zoned, it invites you to simply be and arrive. Close enough to the town to reach everything, yet completely immersed in nature.

The main house is a pure timber frame construction with straw insulation and clay plaster on the interior; concrete is used only where absolutely necessary. Everything, from the interior fittings to the furniture, was built and designed by the owners themselves. They only received support from a local carpentry firm for the roof truss. Local Swiss pine on the walls and carefully selected, repurposed materials create a warm, sustainable atmosphere.
The house is committed to sustainability: waste separation is easy, electricity comes from its own photovoltaic system with storage, heating is provided by an air-source heat pump, water comes from the local spring, and the bathrooms have water-saving flush systems. Cleaning products are available in a refillable deposit system, so no waste is generated. A small welcome leaflet tells guests about the house and its philosophy of nature, and the hosts themselves offer a few words upon arrival.
For relaxation, a private panoramic sauna awaits, complemented by an ice bath in the Isar River. In summer, you can enjoy hiking, climbing, mountain biking, or kayaking. In winter, you can go skiing, ski touring, cross-country skiing, and tobogganing.
