Finca San Pedro in Tenerife is a second-generation family-run agriturismo that combines holidays with a deep insight into sustainable agriculture.
The finca has been organically farmed for over 40 years and is considered one of the first organic fincas on the island. In 2023, host Carolina took over the business from her parents and further developed it with a clear focus on sustainability.
Guests here experience not only relaxation but also knowledge: In three short modules on agriculture, sustainability, and a guided tour of the finca, Carolina shares her many years of experience in sustainable agriculture in Europe. This creates a stay that combines nature, learning, and slowing down.
The five individually designed rooms are lovingly furnished, combining Canarian antiques with modern elements. Ranging from spacious and light-filled to traditional and cozy, each offers its own unique character. The expansive outdoor area, with its many small seating areas, invites guests to linger and provides space for relaxation or socializing with other guests, perhaps by the pool.
A particular highlight is the boutique café with its homemade treats, drinks, and a wide selection of books, creating a cozy living room atmosphere. From here, the view extends across the rose garden all the way to the Atlantic Ocean.

The finca's stone walls are made of local volcanic rock and contribute to its authentic appearance. Great emphasis was also placed on recycling during the design process: existing materials such as doors and furniture were refurbished and reused in collaboration with local craftspeople.
Organically grown fruit such as avocados, oranges, bananas, lemons, and papayas, cultivated on the finca, is available for guests to purchase. Breakfast is served with regional products and seasonal fruit from the finca, complemented by herbal tea from the garden. Homemade specialties like banana jam are also available.
All employees come from the immediate vicinity and have worked together for over 20 years in a trusting, family-like atmosphere on the finca. Furthermore, the team regularly participates in local clean-ups, thus actively contributing to the protection of the environment and the island.
Part of the electricity demand is met by a solar power system with battery storage, thus efficiently supporting the energy supply. Hot water for the rooms is also sustainably generated via a solar thermal system. The pool is also heated with solar thermal energy and operated by a copper-silver ionization system, which requires approximately 90% less chlorine than conventional pools.
A swimming pool and a yoga room with mats and cork blocks are available for guests' use. Numerous walking and hiking trails begin right outside the finca, inviting exploration of the surrounding area. The La Rambla de Castro nature reserve, the island's largest palm grove, is in the immediate vicinity, boasting many endemic plant species and impressive viewpoints such as El Fortín – a unique recreational area amidst nature.
