Molí de Siurana is located in the small town of Siurana d'Emporda, in Spanish Catalonia, near Girona. The hostess, Maria Sanchis, opened the house in 1995 and has managed it ever since. Their original idea was to survive by farming alone. Gradually, however, she added to her farmhouse, renovating it to create a vibrant space that she now shares with her guests.
The property consists of seven cozy rooms and one apartment. All rooms are naturally furnished, the colors are kept neutral and equipped with lots of wood. The typical Catalan style of the house creates a relaxed atmosphere and makes holidaymakers feel at home.
The massage room, the wonderful garden with swimming pool and the rich breakfast buffet with organic eggs from the farm chickens, homemade jams and other specialties from the region also ensure this.
Guests at the Molí de Siurana enjoy nature and tranquility while at the same time benefiting from the wide range of leisure activities. The house is only seven kilometers from Figueras with its Dalí Museum or from the beach of Sant Pere Pescador and 30 kilometers from the beautiful city of Girona.

Sustainable
FoodDepending on the dish, there is a lot of organic on the table at Molí de Siurana. In addition, attempts are made to avoid food waste - the leftovers are given to the hungry chickens on the farm. The food is very regional and local specialties such as a tortilla de patatas y cebolla (tortilla with potatoes and onions) are served. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy-friendly dishes are also no problem and are served with pleasure.
The Molí de Siurana Marias is a real family business. Maria's sister is on hand and her daughter performs the chiropractic massages the property offers. On busy days, the hosts enlist the help of women from the region to help with the cleaning.
EnvironmentOn the farm there are garden vegetables and chickens whose eggs are used. The rest is bought from organic producers nearby. The Molí de Siurana recycles, food waste is avoided as much as possible thanks to the chickens and there are solar panels that ensure sustainable energy production. The hosts tend their fields and control exactly what they plant in order to act as sustainably and diversely as possible.
