Located in the heart of the traditional Spreewald village of Lehde, directly on the riverbank, is the Cosy Lehde - morning fog over the water, daytime vibrant colors and evening absolute silence.
Accessible only on foot or by boat, it's ideal for slowing down. The house is part of a typical farmstead and was formerly the old stable, built around 1756. The farmstead includes a farmhouse, summer kitchen, chicken coop, coal and storage sheds, and a kitchen garden, all gradually renovated and integrated into the Cosy-Lehde project.
The hosts are Moritz and Anjana with their daughters Greta and Hermine. They purchased the house in autumn 2024 and renovated it largely themselves by summer 2025. Now, Cosy Lehde is a cozy, modern home for peace, retreat, conversation, and cooking together. The style is minimalist, high-quality, and inspired by traditional Spreewald architecture with clean lines, wood, linen, matte finishes, and timeless boho charm. Patina and signs of wear tell stories; perfection is not the goal. Light, natural tones and carefully selected pieces create an instantly relaxing atmosphere.
The property's location directly within the Spreewald Biosphere Reserve is ideal for canoeing, paddling, and walks through the labyrinthine network of waterways, bridges, and historic houses. The Lehde Open-Air Museum is just around the corner – a place for minimalism, authenticity, and a connection with nature, water, garden, and village.

At Cosy Lehde, the focus is on preserving existing structures: instead of new construction, existing buildings were stabilized and reused. Demolition is limited to the bare minimum, thus conserving resources and preserving regional building traditions. The renovation utilizes natural, durable materials such as wood and mineral building materials; surfaces are robust and repairable. All work was carried out in close collaboration with local craft businesses.
The property's spacious garden offers a wide variety of produce: apples, pears, peaches, apricots, berries, grapes, herbs, and pumpkins. Guests are welcome to help themselves to the "edible garden" and enjoy the fruit directly.
Waste separation is a matter of course, and all cleaning and care products come from organic production, for example from the company Frosch.
Massages can be booked directly to the holiday home through local providers. A sauna is currently being built in the old coal shed, complemented by a relaxation area in the old greenhouse and later a sunbathing lawn by the quieter part of the stream. Canoes, SUPs, and kick scooters are available for active guests, and in Lübbenau, outdoor activities such as yoga on a boat, relaxing boat trips, guided cycling and hiking tours, or archery by the stream await.
