House

Cool Canaria

Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain

Live like a local - the house with its more than one hundred year history is located in the center of Agaete. The hosts: Beata, her husband and children live in Poland and have fallen head over heels in love with the house, the place and the people.

Now they commute between both worlds and would like to share their beautiful house with guests. Agaete is situated between the sea and the mountains on the very sunny northwest coast of Gran Canaria. Rugged cliffs plunge steeply into the sea, green hills stack up behind the house and one or the other dramatic sunset impresses the islanders and guests alike.

This place is definitely not a tourist hotspot, there is still a lot of authentic local color here. If you want to enjoy the never-ending summer and the varied nature on the third largest Canary Island and want to feel welcome among the locals, you have come to the right place.

The house for a maximum of nine adults and two children is built in the typical Canarian style - plastered white, wooden ceilings and stone floors, colorful shutters. The well-equipped kitchen invites you to cook regional delicacies. If you want, you can soak in the pulsating life of the small town through the window or relax on the terrace and enjoy the view of the mountains.

It's a wonderfully airy space with charming decor ideas, a well-balanced mix of furniture styles, and lots of native plants. Beautiful eye-catchers in cheerful shades of blue such as light blue Acapulco chairs on the terrace and beautiful palm tree prints on the wallpaper round off the look - cool and very comfortable at the same time.
