The modern apartment "Charlotte" offers the perfect opportunity to relax in Märkisch-Oderland in Brandenburg, only around 40 km from Berlin. The apartment consists of a large living room with panoramic window from which the garden, the spruce groups and old oaks can be seen, as well as a bedroom. The living room is flooded with light and has a half-open, fully equipped kitchen.
Inspired by the Scandinavian furnishing style, a color combination of light tones is mainly used. There was no unnecessary bells and whistles, but this does not mean that there is no cosiness. Relaxed reading hours can be spent on the bench with washable lambskins, for example.
Antje Mundt, the owner, came across Rehfelde by accident while looking for a new home near Berlin. In 2015 she acquired the property and decided to rent a holiday apartment in the later house. She was particularly impressed by the remarkable calm where the fox and rabbit say good night. By the way, real deer can be found in Rehfelde, they occasionally cross one of the side streets. The forest and fields are just a stone's throw away. Antje recommends the garden especially in the early morning, because the light is magical, but she also finds the starry sky breathtaking. The apartment received the name Charlotte as a declaration of love to her daughter.
Excellent outdoor activities can be undertaken in Märkisch-Oderland: cycling, Nordic walking, hiking, visiting the Strausberg climbing forest, Kneipp in Buckow and getting to know the rowing boat rental at Bötzsee.

Sustainable
ArchitectureFrom the outset, Antje's decision against cost-effective and fast precast construction was important, which is why classic solid stone was built. The significantly longer construction time and higher construction costs were gladly accepted in order to live holistically and sustainably. A completely covered terrace with wooden flooring (larch), on which you can relax in a blanket even in summer rain or somewhat cooler weather, was an absolute must when planning. The bathroom has been deliberately designed to be large so that two people can relax at the same time, and it is also suitable for guests with physical limitations. The entire construction took place in cooperation with the house construction company LHS Bau GmbH in Grünheide. Most of them work with permanent local craftsmen.
FoodFresh mint, rosemary and oregano from the herb bed are available for self-prepared dishes.
Antje supports various social projects, such as Doctors Without Borders (annual donation), has a sponsored child in Thailand (Plan International) and currently supports five women in Ecuador, Cambodia and Vietnam with microloans (Care International UK). She is also the tree sponsor of the Plant-for-the-planet Foundation with 48 trees per year for the Yucatán Reforestation. She is currently planning to implement an idea for her guests: One tree is to be donated per night in the name of the respective guest, for which the guest will receive a donation certificate by email.
EnvironmentThe guests can expect a guest folder with information on waste separation, for example. The cleaning agents used are of organic quality, garden waste is composted on our own property, and only organic flower fertilizer and horn meal are used. The apartment is equipped with LED ceiling spots and a daylight spot in the bathroom. The collected rainwater is used for watering the garden and the solar system enables hot water preparation and heating support. The entire house is supplied with green electricity.

Location + Directions
By car
From Berlin in the middle of 50 minutes straight on the B1, after Tasdorf left another 15 minutes over the villages. On the A10 to the Müncheberg exit.
With public transport
From Berlin Ostkreuz with the RB26 in half an hour to Rehfelde train station. From there only 1.6km to the Charlotte apartment.
