Casale di Cellole is located in the heart of the Chianti region, surrounded by hills, olive groves, vineyards, and forests. Those who wake up here often hear only the sounds of nature—the rustling of leaves, the occasional squeal of wild boar, or the faint croaking of deer on the paths. The gardens are spacious, some communal, some private, and invite you to take peaceful strolls.
The various houses and apartments vary greatly from one another, yet each combines old and new furniture, traditional materials, and contemporary design. Many pieces come from flea markets or private collections and were lovingly incorporated during the restoration. This creates a blend of history and the present, with a different feel in each room. Bright, spacious spaces alternate with cozy corners that feel like a home, not a hotel.
Part of the family that owns the property lives on the grounds. Elisa and her family look after guests and maintain the house. Since opening in 2013, the property has evolved piece by piece: from the restored "Canopy" and "Africa" houses to the main building, where family and guests meet.
The area around Casale di Cellole offers numerous opportunities to truly discover Tuscany: Siena is only 10 kilometers away, known for the Palio, the famous horse race held in July and August. Cyclists can participate in L'Eroica or cycle through the region's rolling hills. In between, small villages, historic castles, and vineyards invite you to explore.

During the restoration of the houses, the focus was on preserving as many original materials as possible and keeping the character of the buildings alive. Modern elements are visibly integrated without obscuring the historic fabric. This blend of old and new gives each apartment its own character. The combination of traditional, local materials and modern pieces also plays a central role in the furnishings, giving each accommodation its own unique charm.
The garden was deliberately designed to conserve water: low-watering plants withstand the hot Tuscan summers, and even the lawns are not artificially irrigated. This creates a natural, vibrant outdoor space that changes with the seasons, always offering a harmonious connection between nature and the surroundings.
