At the Italian villa Borgo Fianco a Fianco, the morning begins with a bright blue sky highlighted by the silvery olive tree leaves. The Adriatic Sea glitters in the distance. The location in the middle of an olive grove makes the villa a very special place.
The property is managed by hosts Ilona and Jürgen with lasting responsibility. The two succumbed to the charm of Apulia many years ago and carefully renovated the villa in 2015. The special features of the 300-year-old walls were deliberately preserved in order to make the simple and reduced country life tangible - under the motto "The luxury of simplicity".
The Villa Borgo Fianco a Fianco shines in a clear chalky white. Inside, the property with the various holiday apartments is individually designed, with a "pigeon blue thread" running through it. The materials used are limited to stone, wood, ceramics and glass, resulting in a harmonious picture. The guests can enjoy the Mediterranean happiness in the villa to the fullest. The hosts have lovingly created a place to spend quality time with family and friends.

ArchitectureOnly the original, regional building materials and companies were used. 95% of the furniture is from antique markets or farmers markets and was personally refurbished by the hosts. The pool is an open cistern and deliberately kept relatively small. The roof terraces typical of the region open up wonderful perspectives.
FoodThe house is primarily self-sufficiency. The hosts are happy to provide tips for local vendors at a regional farmer's market. The guests can help themselves free of charge from the fruit trees on the premises, depending on the season: figs, almonds, prickly pear. There is the possibility that a chef from the region will come to the holiday property to cook and conjure up an Apulian feast or give a pasta course. Guests can also purchase the hosts' own organic olive oil.
A family from the immediate vicinity finds their income and livelihood in Borgo Fianco a Fianco. Hostess Ilona has been involved in social business for and with Nobel Peace Prize winner Prof. Yunus for years.
EnvironmentSolar panels are installed on site, garbage is separated and there is a private well. Drinking water treatment is intended to avoid "bottle madness". The gardens are designed in a natural way, the lawns are not watered. Guests are also encouraged to separate their waste and to use water consciously. The vision of the hosts is to treat nature responsibly to preserve — including the olive trees entrusted to them. The homemade olive oil Azienda Agricola is certified organic, which they also want to use to inspire their neighbors.
Well-BeingGuests can book massages under olive trees or on the rooftop terrace. This service is made possible by external partners. The covered yoga space is often used for retreats — teachers can also be organized for this.
